Harlech holiday cottage

Harlech Triathalon 29th March 2015

The Harlech Triathalon involves a challenging swim, cycle and run. Nothing unusual so far? Let me give you some more details...

Harlech Beach is a huge sweep of clean unspoilt golden sands gently shelving towards the sea on one side and backed by sand dunes on the other. The Harlech Triathalon 400 metre swim and part of the 6 kilometre run take place here. The 21 kilometre bike ride begins and ends in the historic town of Harlech under the watchful gaze of magnificent Harlech Castle. It then leads you through the stunning mountainous Snowdonia countryside with some of the UK's most spectacular scenery to distract you.

Now here is where it gets really good. If you were to book Hafod Wen, a fabulous Harlech holiday cottage with luxurious accommodation for 7, you could spend a few days training and mentally preparing right next to the beach. Hafod Wen stands in an enviable location with far reaching views over Harlech beach, prestigious Royal St Davids Golf Club with majestic Snowdonia in the background. You could gaze out over this every morning while eating breakfast then follow the path down to the beach for a swim or a run. If you fancy a change, the mature 8 acre garden offers plenty of space for a workout. And what a wonderful home to come back to after a gruelling day's training or after the celebrated triathalon. You can be sure of luxurious comfort with plenty of room to relax and recuperate.
