About this cottage:
- In a superb location in the heart of this 'Jewel of the Cardigan Coast' this is a recently renovated and well furnished town house.
- The en-suite master bedroom has French windows opening onto a balcony with breathtaking harbour views - a wonderful spot to sit and dream in or watch the sunset over Cardigan Bay.
- French doors open from the kitchen into a sunny conservatory with fabulous views.
- The lounge has a leather sofa, reclining armchairs, swivel chairs with footstools and French doors opening onto the patio (3 steps down).
- Short breaks are possible at Bronallt. Please phone for availability and price.
- Aberaeron has lots to offer - take a stroll around the quay and streets lined with brightly painted elegant Georgian houses, browse art galleries, visit the Aberaeron Sea Aquarium or take a catamaran trip (also available for hourly/weekly charter) and see the wild life - dolphins, seals, sea birds - and the rugged coastline of Cardigan Bay from a different perspective.
- There is a selection of small shops to discover and a variety of pubs, eating places and restaurants serving local produce, including the award winning ‘ Hive on the Quay’ and the ‘ Harbourmasters Hotel’ .
- There are wonderful clifftop walks nearby and the coastal path, passing over a waterfall, wends its way from Aberaeron to the sheltered sandy beach of Cei Bach
- Do enjoy this four mile coastal walk with views of the Lleyn Peninsula.
- A cycle track along the old railway line takes you to Llanerchaeron, (N.T.) a small, recently restored, country mansion which offers a fascinating glimpse into life in the last century - even the walled garden has been carefully tended and brought back to some of its former glory.
- Do visit this working artists studio/gallery showing finely detailed rural landscapes, characters and scenes. David's etchings have been shown at the Royal Academy and sold through Christie's catalogues. He uses methods unchanged for 400 years.
- Red Kites can be seen feeding daily at the Red Kite Centre and Museum at Tregaron. Take time to learn about the Kites and other local wildlife as well as the cultural and rural heritage of the area.
- Jen Jones Antique Welsh Blankets and Quilts at Lampeter is well worth a visit. Jen's extensive knowledge and her wonderful stock are fascinating.
- Stock up on some traditionally made Welsh cheese praised by Prince Charles and Rick Stein. These artisan cheese makers can be found in Abercych
- This delightful secluded cove almost hidden amongst the rocks near New Quay once was the haunt of smugglers and pirates. Now Atlantic gray seals come ashore to give berth during autumn. The beach is predominantly shingle with sand at low tide.
- Enjoy a holiday at any time of the year in this Aberaeron coastal cottage with fantastic harbour views. But do explore the little known hinterland - rolling hills, market towns, river valleys, woollen mills - but perhaps most memorable the drover roads across the Cambrian Mountains via Llyn Brianne to Llanwrtyd Wells.
