The Abergavenny Steam Veteran &Vintage Rally will be held in Bailey Park 25-26 May 2014. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. Guests in Wye Valley holiday cottages are in for two days of steamy excitement. Mighty clanking steam traction engines, resplendent in their colourful liveries with smoke belching and steam hissing will take centre stage surrounded by a children`s playground with old fashioned rides, a food village, rural crafts and handicrafts, a wealth of stands selling everything from auto & agricultural jumble to garden plants and the latest `must haves` for the home. There will be veteran, vintage, military and civilian vehicles to discover and an extensive array of motorcycles. Talented model makers will be displaying their intricate array of miniature engines, farm machinery and much more. Crafts men and women will be showing off their skills and country pursuits. Look out for wood turners and even birds of prey. Each day will be packed with a full programme of arena events and parades of vehicles.
The full programme for this year’s Brecon Jazz Festival, running from 7-10 August, with headliners Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Gregory Porter (pictured), songwriting legend Burt Bacharach and Mobo-award winning singer Laura Mvula topping the bill.
