About this cottage:
- A charming stone cottage set down a private drive with access to a footpath which leads directly onto the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path – a wonderful base for walkers between Pwll Deri and Fishguard.
- Comfortably furnished and in a quiet, rural location there are views across the picturesque North Pembrokeshire countryside from the ground floor, sea views from the 1st floor and a large garden, ideal for children and dogs to play in.
- The spacious well proportioned sitting room has an antique mirrored sideboard, leather sofa and arm chairs, a traditional latch door and pretty Georgian style windows.
- Fishguard 3 miles away has a range of amenities including bank, post office, internet cafe, supermarket, filling station, chemist, doctor, vet and interesting independent shops. A Farmer's Market is held every Saturday morning in the town hall - excellent local produce.

- The cottage, one of a pair, is on the historic Trehowel farm estate where the 300 year old farmhouse was used as the headquarters for General Tate during the famous ‘Last Invasion of Britain’ – an event depicted in a locally sewn tapestry displayed in Fishguard Town Hall.
- This is unrivalled walking country with some of the finest coastal scenery in Britain as well as a vast diversity of bird and marine life.
- Strumble Head with its lighthouse (open to the public a couple of times a year) also has a bird observatory.
- A fabulous spot with wonderful coastal views and from where seals and their pups can often be seen during September.
- Fishguard, a short drive away, is a small, bustling market town and is recommended in the Lonely Planet Guide (2010).
- Farmers Markets are held regularly and there are individual shops including Jane’s Haberdashery, an art gallery, cinema, leisure centre, a variety of eating places, including Bar Five - the Tourism Award winner 2008 'Best Dining Experience in Pembrokeshire' and is situated in a listed Gerogian town house in the heart of the town.
- Fishguard hosts an internationally renowned music festival in late July and an Agricultural Show in August - a great family day out – and do visit picturesque Lower Town where Dylan Thomas’s ‘Under Milk Wood’ was filmed and stop for a drink at the historic Ship Inn.
- The Nevern is a mixed game fishery with sea trout known locally as sewin, from May to early September and brown trout all year round. Try your luck.
- Do enjoy a meal in this award winning 'Best Dining Experience in Pembrokeshire' restaurant . You won't be disappointed.
- Fronlas is a family run licensed cafe catering to all tastes. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
- Keen gardeners will love a stroll around Moorland Cottage Plants. The garden centre specialises in traditional and unusual hardy perennials. You may find something to take home that will remind you of your stay.
- Trek through some of the most spectacular scenery in the Pembrokeshire National Park. A day to remember.
