Accommodation Details:

3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6 – 4 adults & 2 children. 1 double and 1 twin on ground floor, 1 twin with sloping ceilings reached via a spiral staircase from the dining area, only suitable for children.

Bedlinen provided.

Bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower over bath on ground floor.

Wet Room with shower, toilet and washbasin on ground floor.

Dining/Kitchen dining table and chairs seating 6, welsh dresser, 2 seater sofa, woodburning stove, spiral staircase, step up to luxury fitted kitchen with electric ‘Aga’ style range cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, freezer, cd/radio,

Utility Room with washing machine and ‘welly’ rack. Dog towels provided too.

Lounge with large windows, tv/video/dvd, door to patio and garden, 3 seater sofa, 3 armchairs. Bookshelves with lots of books and a large collection of dvds and videos.

Grounds small enclosed front garden with lawn, patio with garden furniture and gravelled parking area.

Fuel oil central heating inclusive June – August, £25 per week outside these dates. Logs for woodburning stove available locally.

Coastal holiday cottage near Abereiddy Beach, coastpath, Blue Lagoon, Porthgain, Wales
  • An 18th century stone barn, completely renovated and restored with great attention to detail, now a lovely home for a holiday.
  • Lots of the original stonework and timber have been retained and a new solid oak floor, hand made oak doors, designer lights, an Aga style electric range cooker and a ‘ wet room’ all add to the ‘ quality’ of this restoration.
  • The light, bright and airy lounge with huge windows has a warm terracotta colour scheme with comfortable sofas and complimentary colourful floor rug. Sit back and relax with a glass of wine and a good book.
  • A striking spiral staircase winds up to the first floor pretty bedrooms each with interesting individual features including, white washed stone walls, sloping ceiling, gaze at the stars skylight window, comfortable furnishings and crisp fresh linen.
 
Pembrokeshire Coastal Path
  • One of a pair of cottages in the tiny hamlet of Porthiddy close to Abereiddy Beach and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
  • Square & Compass 4 miles away has an excellent village shop, off licence & fuel station selling fresh goods, groceries, local produce, papers and gifts.
 
Pwll Gwaelod walk around Dinas Head to Cwm yr Eglwys
  • Do visit the pretty little cove of Pwllgwaelod nestled along the Pembrokeshire coast - a perfect starting point for a circular walk around Dinas Head passing through the pretty seaside village of Cwm yr Eglwys.
  • Enjoy refreshments in the Old Sailors Inn on your return.
 
Abereiddy's Blue Lagoon
  • Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the sand and pebble beach at Abereiddy with its famous ‘ Blue Lagoon’ are a 10 minute walk away. The lagoon, a flooded former slate working with a channel out to sea, is a spectacular coastal feature popular with coasteerers and divers.

Leave the car and hail the 'Strumble Shuttle' bus (St Davids to Fishguard) so convenient for walkers to hop on and off for easy access to the various beautiful stretches of this coastline.
 
Traeth Llyfn Beach NT
  • Lovely Traeth Llyfn Beach ( N.T.) can be reached via a 1 kilometre scenic coastal walk from Abereiddy car park. It is ideal for beach combing, rock pooling and sun bathing but beware it gets cut off at high tide. It is not suitable for bathing because of strong tidal rips.
 
Porthgain Harbour
  • Porthgain is a small, picturesque harbour with the Shed Bistro (Welsh Fish Restaurant of the Year 2006 - booking advisable), ‘ The Sloop Inn’ an ‘ olde worlde’ pub serving excellent bar food and 2 art galleries with exhibits by local artists.
 
The Village City of St Davids
  • Whitesands Beach with its long stretch of golden sands, the coast path, the cliff top St Davids Golf Course and the village city of St Davids with its Cathedral, shops, cafes, restaurants and craft/art galleries are all within an easy drive

  • Picton Castle just outside Haverfordwest was built in the 13th C. The principal rooms were remodelled in the 1750's and are open for tours between 11. 30 & 3. 30 The 40 acres of beautiful woodland gardens are open every day except Mondays between 10.30 and 5.00 Take a picnic or try the excellent cafe or restaurant in the castle grounds.
