The comfortable lounge has a feature electric stove, a fine antique Welsh dresser filled with interesting memorabilia, a dining room and a newly fitted smart kitchen.

Enjoy a barbecue in the sheltered, enclosed rear garden or just relax 'away from it all' and enjoy the country air.

The bustling market towns of Cardigan,& Newcastle Emlyn have a range of amenities including bank, post office, internet cafe, supermarket, filling station, chemist, doctor, vet, indoor market and interesting independent shops.

Cardigan Bay and Ceredigion Heritage Coast

60 miles of fabulous coast linking Ynyslas in the north with Gwbert on Sea, Cardigan in the south punctuated by award winning beaches, waterside settlements, National Trust properties, nature reserves and so much more. Look out for bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises and seals. A wonderful location to explore.

Porpoise Spotting Boat Trips Cardigan Bay

Take a thrilling boat trip around Cardigan Bay to spot pods of porpoise and dolphins in the summer and baby seal pups in the autumn. Once seen never forgotten.

Bwlchygroes & Ffostrasol

In the heart of rural Cardiganshire, the cottage is in the hamlet of Bwlchygroes, a short drive from the Cardigan Bay Marine Heritage Coast.

Ffostrasol is within a mile , a small village where there is a shop and a former coaching inn, The Ffostrasol Arms, now famous for its good bar food – do try Betty’s Sunday lunch (advance booking necessary!).

‘La Calabria’ is also within a mile, an Italian restaurant ‘ renowned for its authentic Italian cooking combined with fresh Welsh produce.

Teifi Valley Cheese, an award winning cheese maker who supplies its cheese to Harrods is close by at the end of a valley a mile walk or a drive down a narrow,country track.

Cardigan Bay Marine Heritage Coast

The Cardigan Bay Marine Heritage Coast offers fantastic coves and beaches, coastal walking and a variety of marine life including its resident pod of bottle nose dolphins.

Llangrannog, a pretty coastal village, Cwmtydu (N.T.),the haunt of smugglers in bygone days and the bustling sea side town of New Quay – once home to Dylan Thomas are all within an easy drive. Walk the Dylan Thomas Trail along streets thought to be the inspiration for ‘Under Milk Wood’.

Take a boat trip from New Quay and enjoy the coast from a different aspect and perhaps even catch a fish or two for supper!

The National Wool Museum - Interpretive guided tours

The National Wool Museum near Newcastle Emlyn is a special treasure and one of Wales best kept secrets in the heart of beautiful Cardiganshire countryside.

This is still a working mill and the museum vividly tells the story, with life size models and ‘hands’ on’ exhibits, of the woollen industry in Wales and the local people whose livelihood once depended on it. A truly wonderful day out for all the family with a programme of varied events through the year – free entry and a great coffee and souvenir shop! Ths staff provide a fascinating and informative guided tour.

Teifi Valley Railway near National Wool Museum

Near to Newcastle Emlyn this is a restored narrow gauge railway - lots of things to do with childrens playgrounds, woodland walks and a café - a wonderful day out for everyone.

Newcastle Emlyn

Set amongst the beautiful scenery of the Teifi Valley, this country market town has an unhurried charm with a ruined castle, a range of shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and pubs including ‘The Old Red Cow’ – an intimate gastro pub of great repute – booking essential.

Llandysul for white water rafting & kayaking

A traditional unspoilt market town nestling on the banks of the River Teifi – famous for its salmon and sewin fishing as well as white water canoeing.

The Llandysul Paddlers Canoe Club offers a wide range of activities – canoeing, white water rafting, kayaking, gorge walking, to name but a few.
