About this cottage:
- A little gem of a cottage in a picturesque rural setting at the top of a gentle hill from which there are far reaching panoramic views over rolling green pastures and the wooded hillsides which bound the Cleddau River to the Preseli Hills beyond.
- For walkers, painters, photographers and lovers of nature, peace and tranquillity this is a true ‘rural retreat’ (part of a 15 acre smallholding) away from the hurly burly of today.
- The cottage sits snugly at the top of a 1/2m ‘bumpy’ country track, 100yds beyond the owners’ house, and a gate from the professionally landscaped cottage garden leads into a ‘wild flower’ meadow. There are table and chairs to relax on to enjoy the view and a ‘gazebo’ adds to the charm.
- The rear garden, reached through glass doors from the sitting room is delightfully sheltered by woodland and there is a small patio with a table and 2 chairs.
- Newly and lovingly renovated the cottage has a ground floor bedroom, ‘wet’ room, and luxury fitted kitchen with dining table. The sitting room has a log burning stove, high vaulted ceiling and patio doors to the rear garden. The ground floor is level throughout.
- All year round short breaks are possible at this property. Please phone for availability and price.
- This is an area of outstanding natural beauty with many SSSI’s and is wonderful walking country criss-crossed by ancient pathways and winding country lanes.
- At the bottom of the cottage track – a public right of way - is Landshipping Quay and the broad sweep of the Cleddau River where Ospreys rest & feed on their annual migration.
- Lawrenny Quay with its pub and award winning café overlooking the River, and Cwm Deri Vineyard and restaurant, are each a 10 minute drive away.
