About this cottage:

• At the foot of picturesque wooded Cwm Curyll (Valley of the Hawk) this ancient architect designed farmhouse restoration (allegedly the oldest farmhouse in Wales) has been lovingly newly renovated and refurbished to the highest standards - a delightful relaxing home for a holiday.
• Patio doors open from the lounge onto the garden – listen to the brook as it babbles and chatters on its way past the cottage and watch the buzzards wheel high above the tree-tops.
• The huge original inglenook with a log burning stove in the lounge makes this a very cosy and comfortable room from where an oak staircase leads to the 1st floor with its charming bedrooms.
• The cottage, set by the side of the front courtyard of a small dairy farm, has its own bridge spanning the brook and is completely separate and independent of the farm.

• There is a newly opened coastal footpath within a minute’s walk and Laugharne, with its association with Wales’ favourite poet, Dylan Thomas, is a short drive away - restaurants, pretty tea-shops, craft and art galleries, antique book shop and a ruined castle overlooking the River Taf Estuary. Do visit Ginst Point.

• 6 miles of flat, hard sand - ideal for buggying, windsurfing and kite-surfing and was used to stage 5 World Land Speed Records in the 1920’s. The small village here has a couple of good pubs, post office, gift shops, a few cafes and restaurants.

• A popular family bathing beach, ideal for swimming and beach games and sits at the start (or end!) of the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
• Walk the ancient ‘greenway’ down to Wisemans Bridge or at low tide you can walk there along the beach. At the east end of the beach is a 16th century pub (home-made food and local fish) and at the west is the main village with another pub, shop and café.

• Saundersfoot has a wide sandy easily accessible beach with lots of places to eat and drink near to its picturesque harbour.
• Glen Beach is a quieter beach on the west side of the harbour – walk across the beach to Monkstone Point and Monkstone Beach beyond - as you walk the razor clams squirt at you!

• These are fabulous gardens and a must for garden lovers and visitors - there is an open air theatre and family events are held throughout the summer.
