- Furnished and decorated to the highest standards – sumptuous soft furnishings, comfy sofas, log burning stove, period dining table, lime-washed walls, Farrow and Ball paintwork and the owner’s original landscapes all add to the cottage’s ambience of warmth and luxury.
- Lots of original features have been restored to their former glory and a stunning glass and wood extension opens out onto a delightful rear terraced garden.
- The master en-suite bedroom has a balcony which overlooks the garden with glimpses of the sea beyond.
- Newport, nestling in the shadows of the Preseli Mountains, has ancient winding lanes leading to an estuary teeming with wild life. Award winning restaurants, pubs serving food, coffee shops, a fantastic butchers, art and craft galleries, antique/books shops, health food shop and a Natural Health Care Clinic are all virtually on your doorstep.
- There is a fabulous 18 hole links golf course and a long golden stretch of sand, ideal for swimming, windsurfing and sailing.
- Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) dominates the skyline behind Newport. A mysterious mountain topped by an Iron Age Fort (never excavated) from where there are panoramic views – Snowdonia, St Davids Peninsula and even the Wicklow Mountains.
- The Preselis are gentle hill walking country or for a truly rare treat take a pony trek along ancient tracks and abandoned drovers roads as they criss-cross the mountain sides.
- Cilgerran Castle has inspired many artists including Turner why not take your sketch pad and watercolours if not your camera will do.
- Do enjoy a meal at Cnapan Restaurant in Newport established since 1983. Home cooking at its best and a fairly priced wine served in a delightful town house dining room.
- A fascinating on going archaeological investigation with reconstructed buildings on original sites in beautiful woodland and river meadow setting. There is a visitors centre, gift shop and special events held throughout the year.
- Choose a beautiful beach for every day of the week - Penbryn Beach, Poppit Sands, Ceibwr Bay and Aberporth has two. All are within easy reach, why not leave your car behind and take the Poppit Rocket Bus which serves the coastal area.
- Do visit the pretty little village of Nevern with its ancient yew trees in the old church yard, the 16th C Trewen Arms Hotel featured in Egon Ronay's Best Food Guide and the Good Food Guide and the crystal clear waters of the Nevern river, an ideal location for a spot of fishing. On the outskirts of the village look for the ancient Pilgrim's Cross.
