About this cottage:

Lleyn Peninsula holiday cottage with a hot tub

Lleyn Peninsula holiday cottage with hot tub in which to luxuriate. (available all year - use at own risk)

Just above the rocky little inlet at Porth Colmon this is a recently renovated ancient barn with its own large private garden adjacent to but completely independent of Porth Colmon House.

There is a cosy sitting room with open beamed ceiling, and an integral seat built into the wall.

The spacious kitchen diner has an open beamed ceiling with roof sky lights flooding the room with light. There are pine fitted cupboards and a farmhouse style table and chairs.

Bright light bedrooms are comfortably furnished with delightful iron bedsteads and charming little cottage windows.

Convenience store just two min walk (open seasonally). The neighbouring villages of Morfa Nefyn and Nefyn 6 miles away have between them a range of local amenities including bank, post office, library with internet facilities, supermarket, grocery store with a proper butchers counter as well as fresh fruit& vegetables, chemist, doctor and a filling station.

Lleyn Peninsula holiday cottage near Coastal Path

A short walk away is a beautiful sandy beach and the Coastal Path which winds along past little unique coves and hidden beaches.

Enjoy fishing and sight-seeing boat trips (otters, seals & dolphins) which leave directly from the owner’s slipway during the summer months.

Lleyn Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Aberdaron is nearby which has a remoteness and beauty all of its own but with excellent shops, a bakery and two good hotels - Gegin Fawr (Big Kitchen) offers snacks throughout the day as it once did for the pilgrims on their way to Bardsey Island.

Uwchmynydd NT

Uwchmynydd (N.T.) iust above the village, is a heather covered headland with panoramic views of the Lleyn Peninsula (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and Bardsey Island.

Morfa Nefyn, Porth Dinllaen NT, Ty Coch Inn, Abersoch

Morfa Nefyn, a short drive away, has a superb golf course on the cliff edge below which is the smugglers cove of Porth Dinllaen, with pretty white washed cottages and the famous Ty Coch pub on the water’s edge.

Abersoch is a lively resort for watersports with bars and restaurants, regattas and music festivals in summer.
