3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 6, plus travel cot. 2 doubles and 1 twin. All on 1st floor.
Bedlinen and towels provided.
Bathroom on 1st floor with bath, toilet and wash basin.
Shower Room on 1st floor with shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.
Kitchen/Diner rustic country style with oil fired Rayburn, electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge with ice box, washing machine. Table and chairs to seat 4. Highchair.
Sitting room woodburning stove, 3 seater sofa, armchair, tv/video/dvd, foldaway gateleg table with 4 chairs.
Sun Room/Lounge 2 seater sofa and 2 armchairs, Windsor oak rocking chair, child's rocking horse, large footstool, cd/radio, original Victorian cooking range (not in use), wooden floors and patio doors to garden.
Fuel oil central heating and oil fired Rayburn inclusive May – September, £25 per week outside these dates. Free starter pack of logs. (Additional logs can be purchased from owner.)
Grounds large secluded very attractive garden with pond – take care with children please. Lawns, patio garden furniture and portable barbecue.

About this cottage:
- There is lots to discover in the dramatic, unspoilt countryside which surrounds this Welsh country cottage near the Elan Valley.
- Get away from it all to this Welsh country cottage built in the 1700's 1200' above sea level in a valley surrounded by hills and farmland.
- Original exposed stonework, beamed ceilings, log burning stove, charming Victorian fireplaces, and a Rayburn to welcome you in the kitchen.
- The delightful sitting room has exposed beams, open hearth with log burning stove and a charming dresser full of pretty china.
- A farmhouse style kitchen with pine cupboards, butler sink and Rayburn shares its generous space with a honey coloured table and chairs on a traditional quarry tile floor.
- A secluded picturesque garden is wonderful to relax in, either by the pond, look out for kingfishers & woodpeckers, or on the old bench beneath the wisteria with delightful unspoilt views down the valley and over the countryside. Watch the Red Kites & Buzzards soar above.
- A perfect base for walkers, nature lovers, birdwatchers, cyclists and fisherfolk - there are several coarse and trout fishing lakes within easy reach by car and horse riding is available locally.
- Llanbadarn Fynydd is 5 miles away with community shop, cafe, fuel station and a newly re-opened pub, The New Inn, serving highly recommended food.
- More extensive amenities can be found in the bustling market town of Newtown 12 miles away including banks, post office, supermarkets, chemist, doctors, vet, filling station, cinema, Oriel gallery, museum, sports centre, theatre, night club and interesting independent shops.Weekly markets held outdoors on Tuesdays and indoors on Tuesdays and Saturdays sell a tempting array of fresh fish, meats, breads, fruit and vegetables.
- Mid Wales' only ten pin bowling centre with four state of the art lanes, provision for young children, a licensed bar and dining area. Great fun for the whole family.
- Red Kites are fed daily 3pm in summer and 2pm in winter. Watch their spectacular aerial acrobatics as they swoop and dive to snatch their prey.
- The Elan Valley, a short drive away, has 80 miles of rights of way including the Elan Valley Trail which follows the route of the old Elan Valley Railway – ideal for walkers, horse riders, cyclists, pushchairs and wheelchairs.
- The road through the Valley with views of the dams connects with the spectacular old mountain road to Aberystwyth, a truly breathtaking drive and not to be missed.
- Start from Llanidloes and choose one of several trails including a walk to the source of the river Severn. There are several riverside picnic sites along the way. Enjoy the unspoilt countryside and wildlife.
- Fully packaged mountain & road bike weekends complete with guide and support for all abilities can be arranged at Rhayader. The company also sells bikes and carry out repairs and servicing
- Do visit the lovely seaside resorts of Aberystwyth and Borth just an hours drive away with excellent beaches, seaside amenities, shops, restaurants and pubs.
- Do visit the lovely old market town of Montgomery with its timber framed houses, cobbled streets and a mixture of Georgian and Victorian architecture.There is a choice of things to see and do including a walk up to the 13th C castle now a ruin. Its dominating position and impressive views give a sense of the power it once represented.

- An historic town once at the heart of the medieval Mid Wales and first on the river Severn. There are galleries, craft shops, local produce and a choice of places to eat and drink. Do visit the splendid old timber framed market hall now an exhibition space and the Welsh Quilt Centre
