  • The Ancient Houses Commission recently 'dendro-chronologically' dated the timbers of Hen Dy holiday cottage to be from 1550.

Criccieth Marine & Main Beaches
  • Two Blue Flag awarded beaches to choose from, Marine is a pebble beach with wonderful views and pleasant for walking. Main beach, a mixture of sand and pebbles has lots of rock pools to explore.

Shore Fishing - Shell Island
  • Bass, codling, flounder, dab, mackerel, whiting, gurnard and mullet on any state of the tide. Do remember your fishing gear and favourite seafood recipes.
Adrenalin Antics, Llyn Trawsfyndd Reservoir
  • Multiple adventure activities based in Snowdon National Park. Activities include gorge walking, canyoning, cliff jumping, rock climbing, abseiling, raft building, walking, zip lines and more.
Salem Chapel, Cefncymerau near Llanbedr
  • Salem Chapel and attached caretakers cottage is now a Cadw Grade II listed building. The chapel was made famous by artists Sydney Curnow Vosper (1866-1942) whio painted Sian Owen, an old lady, in a stove pipe hat and Welsh costume attending the chapel. A copy of the painting hangs in the chapel. The original hangs in the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Liverpool. It has become one of Wales' best known works of art.

2 Large Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 plus travel cot; 1 king size double, 1 twin.

nb: The 1st floor is reached via a circular stone staircase (steep steps), reminiscent of a secret panel staircase - very low ceiling in part and may be difficult for the elderly.

Kitchen galley type with electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine.

Lounge/Diner a feature of the room is a huge stone Inglenook fireplace, large and heavily beamed ceiling, small Elizabethan leaded light windows, antique Welsh dresser, grandfather clock, tv/dvd, comfortable seating. Highchair. (One of the most characterful and atmospheric rooms in this brochure)

Fuel starter pack of coal and logs. Central Heating £45 per week October to April.

WiFi Internet

Grounds private and enclosed garden with garden furniture. Access to 90 acres of farmland with fishing in nearby river. Cycle track 200 yds away.
