• Cwm Pennant Valley is a delight, high slopes blend into wooded hillsides, a meandering river winds through small fields dotted with farmhouses and an ancient Church. Peace and tranquility any time of the year. Few cars, few tourists and lots of mountain sheep.

• Breathtaking scenery with beautiful walks along the river valley (good fishing locally) - small ponds and waterfalls to enchant and gentle hill walking from your doorstep - an old Welsh poem laments that a shepherd's life is too short to fully enjoy the beauty of this valley.

• Wonderful beaches, fascinating harbours and small towns close by - Black Rock Sands a vast sandy beach onto which you can drive your car, Borth y Gest, a small, pretty harbour village, Porthmadog once the busiest slate port in Wales now home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway and Criccieth with its sand and shingle beach and ruined castle overlooking the town.

• Magnificent scenery of Cardigan Bay, Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula all wait to be discovered and are within easy reach of this Wales farmhouse, scenic location.

• The Italianate village of Portmeirion was built 1925 - 1973 by Clough Williams Ellis to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed. The colour washed buildings and little streets are lined with various shops and cafes. There are woodland trails and a riverside walk too.

• Located at either end of Porthmadog town. Choose a heritage journey through the scenic Snowdonia countryside or a mountain trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you can visit the Lechwedd Slate Caverns.

• Enlli Sea Safaris and Shearwater Luxury Charters leave from Pwllheli Marina to explore the rich and scenic waters along the Lleyn Peninsula. Look out for seabirds seals and dolphins. Remember your camera and binoculas.
