What a fantastic place this is! The views from the windows are unparalleled. The beach is glorious and spotless, perfect for the two kids. We’ve crammed so much in – pony trekking in Barmouth, “Bounce Below” in Blaenau Ffestiniog, kite flying on the beach, sand castles and sand dune hopping, combined with the odd meal out, made this a fantastic week for our little family. Mention must also be made of the jaw dropping sunsets over the ocean, and also to the gorgeous fresh bread, homemade jams and bottle of wine awaiting us on our arrival.

Peace and tranquility, excellent hospitality, awesome natural beauty, fascinating history, the cottage at Hafod Wen is one of the lovliest places I have ever visited. The wild woodland walk down to the sea with the gentle sound of the waves breaking on the shore and the glimpsed views of snow capped mountains was truly unforgetable. A huge thank you to Jane and Regfor the welcome, the food and wine and for making it all pet friendly! My labrador appreciated it all too! Certainly a magical place and I hope to visit again in Spring.

Your home and its location is absolutely fantastic, the view is to die for, but most of all your very warm welcome and hospitality has made our stay complete. Thank you both for all the special little touches you provided for us, especially the homemade bread and crab apple jelly and for letting me join you at your bowling club, (sorry I brought a winning streak to an end Reg) it was a great day out. Hafod Wen is a very special place, we will be back next year. Many thanks
