South Pembrokeshire
  • Wonderful walking in the quiet Landsker Borderlands and a path just across the lane from Highgrove meanders through the ancient Canaston & Minwear Woods - alive with birdsong, carpeted with wild flowers, fungi and home to squirrels, foxes, badgers (and wild boars in the 18th century!) - past ruined 13th century Mounton Chapel and onto the Knights Way.
 
Narberth Market Town near quality country cottage
  • Narberth nearby is a small ancient thriving market town with a ruined castle and a mixture of small interesting shops - fishmonger, butcher, grocer, ironmongers, delicatessen, wonderful cake shops, art and craft galleries, antique shops, pubs and restaurants - a great place for gift shopping!
  • Relax in the delightful informal Ultra Comedia Cafe/Tapas Bar/Delicatessen, Narberth. Enjoy delicious produce from Wales, Spain and France. Drop in at any time during the day. Booking is necessary for evening meals.
 
Walk from Milford Haven to Dale
  • This part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is an easy 9 mile walk without serious gradients but it does need careful planning to avoid detours due to tides.

Stackploe Quay (National Trust) is a tiny picturesque harbour with the Boathouse Tearoom close by. Sit in the garden and enjoy a cup of tea while admiring the surroundings.
  • Walk from Stackpole Quay car park along the coastal path to fabulous Barafundle beach backed by dunes and flanked by sea cliffs, once voted one of the UK's top ten beaches.
 
Picton Castle and Gardens
  • Picton Castle at the Ross is open to the public 5 days a week for afternoons guided tours. There is an excellent cafe, a gallery and a shop. The magnificent woodland and walled gardens offer any number of lovely places to enjoy a picnic.
 
Heron Brook Golf Course
  • Heron Brook Golf Course less than a mile away has an 18 hole, par 64 course of 3040 yards set in beautiful Pembrokeshire countryside overlooking Narberth town and castle. Take your own golf clubs or hire the equipment on site. There is a small cafe offering drinks and light refreshments.
