About this cottage:
- Peace, tranquillity and wonderful walks - a footpath almost from the front door of this charming period bungalow leads across fields to the coast and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.
- In a quiet country lane bounded by rolling pastures, there is a mature 3/4acre enclosed, sheltered ‘hide and seek’ garden, with different outdoor ‘rooms’ a paradise for plantsmen (and women) with lots of specimen bushes, plants and trees.
- Adding to the 'away from it all atmosphere' there is no tv reception at Tegfan, however there is a television provided on which the wide choice of videos and dvds/cds supplied can be enjoyed by grown ups and children alike!
- The cosy comfortable sitting room has patio windows leading into the garden room.
- Enjoy meal times in the pretty dining room with rectangular table, elegant chairs and open backed dresser filled with colourful china or al fresco in the lawned garden on teak garden furniture surrounded by mature shrubs and trees.
- Fishguard 7 miles away has a range of amenities including banks, post office, internet cafe, supermarket, filling station, chemist, doctor, vet and interesting independent shops. A Farmer's Market is held every Saturday in the town hall - excellent local produce.
- 10 minute walk away (downhill) and one of the many woodland paths (carpeted with bluebells and wild garlic in the spring) goes through the woods to the twin sand/shingle beaches of Abermawr and Aberbach.
- Mathry, a hilltop village with its pub, (good bar food) woodturners workshop, tea room, Church (the door is always open) and school, is within 2 miles and both Fishguard and St Davids are within an easy drive.
- Unrivalled coastal walks with spectacular coastal scenery, wonderful wild life and an enormous range of wild flowers. The wide range of activities locally include surfing, sailing, sea kyaking, coasteering, boat trips to the bird islands, golf, horse riding, cycling and much more.
- An area of serenity, outstanding natural beauty, peace and solitude – seals in September and wild flowers in the Spring, a paradise for naturalists painters, photographers and walkers alike.
- Pamper yourself at the Ivybridge Spa in Goodwick. Full and half day packages offer a world of spa treatments and revitalising luxury.
- Britain's smallest city with a magnificent Cathedral nestled at its heart. The village city is full of interesting & individual shops, galleries, crafts and a choice of places to eat and drink. Do take the opportunity to book a memorable boat trip out to the spectacular off lying islands.
- Miles Pepper's West Wales Arts Centre in Fishguard has changing exhibitions, a reading room, an excellent gastro cafe and holds supper evenings with musical recitals. Drop in for a coffee and find out whats on.
- Explore Pembrokeshire's best historic & prehistoric sites with a qualified archaeologist. Transport & refreshments included.
- Try some alternative ways to explore Pembrokeshire's beautiful, rugged, coastline. TYF Adventures, St Davids offer you the opportunity to try coasteering, kayaking, surfing, rock climbing and more.
