2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 plus travel cot. 1 double, 1 twin both on 1st floor.

Bedlinen provided.

Bathroom with toilet, washbasin and bath with shower over.

Kitchen/Dining/Lounge open plan with well appointed fully fitted kitchen, electric cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine, table and chairs seating 4. A small dresser and bar divide the kitchen and lounge area which has an electric woodburning style fire, cream leather 3 piece suite, tv/dvd. French doors to grounds, magnificent views.

No Smoking indoors

Fuel electric storage heaters inclusive May – September £30 per week outside these dates.

Grounds medium enclosed garden with lawns, garden furniture. Storage for mountain bikes. There is a small stream at side of property which is fenced off.

A delightful little cottage nestling in the foothills of lovely Cader Idris, Wales’ second highest peak - a true ‘ escape to the country’ .

Cosy and comfortable stone cottage with an open plan ground floor and with French doors opening out onto the grounds - magnificent views.

White leather sofas with colourful cushions, honery coloured pine furniture and kitchen cupboards, wooden floors throughout and wood burner style electric fire make this a pleasant light and airy living space.

Walking & Mountain Biking Coed y Brenin Forest Centre

Public footpaths are within walking distance of both Gors y Gader 1063 and Arthfan and this is an ideal location for enjoying the increasingly popular sport of mountain biking with world-class purpose built trails at Coed y Brenin Forest Centre.

Cader Idris cottage near Fairbourne Railway

Pay once and ride all day on this nostalgic 1895 railway from Fairbourne to Barmouth. The sandy beach backed by a pebble ridge at Fairbourne has Blue Flag status and amazing coastal views.

Dolgellau Market Town near Cadir Idris cottage

Enjoy peace and tranquillity with beautiful scenic walks or drive the mountain road down to the market town of Dolgellau. Northward takes you up to the car park and picnic area at the start of the Cader Idris climb - the walk to the summit is fairly strenuous, only for the fit!

Dolgellau just 2 miles away has a good range of local amenities including interesting individual shops, supermarket, bank, post office, cafe with wifi, chemist, doctors surgery, vet and filling station.It is an interesting town full of 17th and 18th century architecture, myriad lanes, alleyways lined with pretty cottages and town houses and a monthly Farmers Market - excellent food, fruit and vegetables.

Fairbourne, Barmouth, Mawddach Estuary & Dysynni Valley

Fairbourne and Barmouth are only a few miles away and are the nearest beaches with safe bathing.

Walk along the Mawddach Estuary - Wales' finest and another delightful drive is down to the village of Arthog passing Cregenan Lakes with panoramic views of the estuary.

Dysynni Valley, a remote place and an ornitholigists paradise with Red Kite, cormorants and buzzards at Bird’ s Rock and the romantic ruins of Castell y Bere, once home to Welsh Princes is a lovely drive away.

Aberdyfi Seaside Town

Aberdyfi is a beautiful seaside town on the Dyffi Estuary with interesting shops and the famous Penhelig Hotel - superb food in stylish surroundings.

Beachcombers will love Shell Island, shells are found in abundance particularly after storms.

Tywyn has 5 miles of golden sands awarded with Blue Flag status. The beach is popular for watersports.

Criccieth Beaches & Llanbedr Beach

Criccieth's Marine beach and Main beach both have Blue Flage status. They are are a mixture of sand and pebbles with rock pools to explore and wonderful views. Ideal for family fun and walking, safe for bathing.

Llanbedr is a large sandy beach backed by dunes.

Rabbit Farm & Animal Park, Llanystumswy

A great family day out whatever the weather. Many of the animals are housed in farm buildings. Children will love holding baby rabbits, guinea pigs and puppies. There is an outdoor play area and picnic spot.

Lots to see and do within an easy drive of this holiday cottage near Mawddach estuary & Dysynni Valley. Do explore the lesser known southern foothills of Snowdonia if you appreciate a tranquil landscape away from the "madding crowd".
