Customer Reviews

It was a wonderful/brilliant week. A beautiful location, which was ideal as we bought a walking guide from the information shop in the town. It was great. (Book called Walk around Dolgellau by Geoff Elliott and Martin Olson). It meant we could just walk from the house or from just a short drive, we would have left the book, but we will be back to do more of the walks. All feeling relaxed now.

We can only echo what other visitors have said- very well equipped cottage in a perfect location for walking, bird watching and scenery. For dog friendly eateries- try the Royal Ship Inn Dolgellau, George at Penmaenpool, Cross Foxes near Brithdir on the main road. We look forward to returning to Gors y Gader.

We've had a fantastic time in this amazing cottage. Perfect location, so much to do we need to come back! Weather has been very mild and mostly dry. Thanks very much for the welcome tray.

This bungalow was a recommendation from our friends Diane and Gordon. What can we say about Gors y Gader? Superb bungalow, home from home! Spectacular scenes. The help and support from Liz and Arthur was second to none. If we had a wish list, we would have wished for a wire on the front gate which would have prevented our Yorkie from escaping. Our top ten attractions (in no particular order) were: Portmeirion village, Porthmadog, Betws y Coed, Barmouth, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Caernarfon, Llangollen, Beddgelert and Llanfair P G. Places never to visit again were Rhyl, Prestatyn and Tweedmill Outlet Centre! Thank you Liz and Arthur. We look forward to our next visit in 2013.

First impressions-blown away!! Could have stopped in all week! Great place and plenty of room so that we're not all on top of one another. Loved the 'sun room' for some peaceful thinking. Wonderful base to get around so many lovely places and nice to think we had this to come back to when it poured! Having said that, weather very good on whole! Absolutely loved it and would love to come again.
