About this cottage:
- Wooden shuttered windows overlook Aberaeron’ s picturesque walled harbour from this beautifully renovated cream washed Georgian town house.
- Decorated, furnished and equipped throughout to the highest residential standards complete with a truly luxurious double steam shower cubicle - massage jets and surround sound!
- Original slate floors lead from the hallway into the luxury fitted kitchen/dining room which has a glass topped dining table and chairs designed by Ligne Roset. French doors open from the dining area onto a private enclosed patio and garden.
- Last minute short breaks are possible at Cerniw. Please phone for availability and price.
- Aberaeron is a Georgian jewel with elegant colour washed houses surrounding the harbour - reputedly planned and designed by John Nash, with a shingle beach
- There is a range of small, interesting shops, craft centres, pubs and the award winning Harbourmaster’ s Restaurant (Good Food Guide and Gold Award, Wales) and The Hive on the Quay, famous for its honey ice cream.
- Nearby is Llanerchaeron - also designed by John Nash - a country gentleman’ s estate now owned by the National Trust - well worth a visit with a fascinating glimpse into the past in the restored house with its servant quarters and walled garden.
- Lots to see and do in and around the town - 2 beaches to enjoy, good launching for small boats from the harbour, boat trips to spot the marine life, sea angling, fishing for salmon/sea trout on the River Aeron or take a cycle ride along one of the 5 Wales Cycle Trails.
- Take a stroll along ‘ Lover’ s Walk’ past four weirs and along the river valley to Llanachaeron or try a coastal cliff top walk - stunning sea views and spectacular wild life.
- Just Curios Antiques in Tregaron has a large constantly changing stock including bric a brac, china, cast iron goods, furniture, books, textiles, lighting and more. Oil lamps are restored and serviced. You may find youself a unique souvenier to take home.
- Aberaeron Craft Centre houses 18 work shops in tastefully converted farm buildings. There are daily demonstrations, special events and displays to enjoy.Facilities include a licensed restaurant and courtyard gardens.
- An enjoyable stroll through Aberaeron takes in the significant buildings of the town. Do drop in at the Harbour Master Restaurant along the waterside and enjoy delicious food as featured in the Good Food Guide.
- Enjoy real ales and locally sourced fine food including wild boar, wild salmon and Welsh steaks at the Fish & Anchor at Llanwen.
- Do visit the National Coracle Centre in the delightful village of Cenarth. The museum and workshop set in a 17th C flour mill is dedicated to coracles from all over the world.
- Jen Jones has a fascinating collection of blankets and quilts on show and for sale. She is quite an authority and as well as giving talks has written several books on the traditional Welsh craft.
