  • Pwllheli is a convenient town 15 miles away and on route to Ty Hen to pick up any shopping, go to the bank and fill up on fuel otherwise Aberdaron is 4 miles away (no bank). Fuel can also be bought at Sarn about 2 miles away.
Aberdaron to Mynydd Fawr, National Trust
  • This beautiful stretch of land is very special for its birds, plants, diverse landforms and wild seashores. It is steeped in history linked with Bardsey the legendryIsle of 20,000 saints- wonderful for walkers, bird watchers, photographers and botanists.
Lleyn Peninsula
  • Aberdaron, at the waters edge, is a pretty white washed, remote village - the last resting place of medieval pilgrims before their hazardous journey to Bardsey Island. Circular Walk Abersoch near Whistling Sands holiday farmhouse (sleeps 11)
  • Keen walkers will enjoy this moderately challanging walk of five and a half miles which takes about 3 hours. From the town walk onto the beach and continue south for 1 mile, leave the beach via the slipway and follow the coast path as far as Porth Ceiriad. Head inland on marked paths , do not fork left but continue along the lane to Sarn Bach. Walk on through the fields to the Abersoch Llanengan road. Turn right and back to Abersoch. Wonderful coastal views and rural patchwork.
