- Very well furnished and equipped throughout, the dining hall has picture windows on 2 sides and an oak floor, all overlooked by a galleried landing.
- Set at the top of the hill on the outskirts of the pleasant riverside village of Burton, which has a landing pontoon in the summer, there are lots of tranquil country and riverside walks close by.
- Good eating places locally include the popular waterside inn – The Jolly Sailor with a riverside beer garden and an extensive menu. Within a 2 minute walk is the Stable Inn – good food and drink and The Beggars Reach Hotel is just outside the village in tranquil countryside.
- The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is close by - wonderful walks, coastal scenery and ever-changing wild flowers, bird and marine life according to the season.
- Fantastic boat trips to the offshore islands depart from Neyland Marina where there is also Brunels Nature Reserve and Cycle Track.
- Enjoy leisurely refreshments at the café and bar which overlook the marina with its fascinating array of sailing yachts.
- Llangwm is an old fishing village which has a landing slip at Black Tar for small boats and hosts an annual Scarecrow Festival.
- Hook is north of Llangwm and is bordered by Little Milford Woods (N.T.) which cover the high banks of the Western Cleddau – superb scenery and waterside walks.
- Pembroke is a small fascinating town with a wonderfully preserved medieval castle – lots of outdoor events are held here during the summer months. There are narrow alleyways to explore, small, individual shops, antique centres, craft and art galleries and a variety of eating/drinking spots.
