5 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 12 including 2 folding beds

Master bedroom with double bed, washbasin and ensuite shower room (shower cubicle toilet and wash basin), 1 twin bedroom, 3 steps up to 2nd twin bedroom with feature Victorian fireplace, 1 double bedroom & 1 bunk bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds and en-suite shower room (shower cubicle, washbasin and toilet).

Bedlinen provided.

Bathroom with bath, hand held shower, wash basin & toilet. All on 1st floor.

Lounge with log burning stove, 1 x 3 seater sofa, 2 x 2 seater sofas. 1 wooden settle, flat screen tv, and views

Sitting Room with 2 x 2 seater sofas, open fire and, door leading through to:

Shower Room shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin.

Kitchen farmhouse style with exposed beams, stone walls, part slate/quarry tiled floor, large dining table seating 16, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and electric hob. Small larder,fridge, coffee making machine. 2 easy chairs, Rayburn, ( not in use) original bread oven

Utility Room (off lounge) with tumble dryer, small fridge/freezer

Grounds medium sized unenclosed garden with side lawn and outdoor seating. Front terrace with table and chairs Please supervise children at all times - there are uneven terraces and steep drops

The farmhouse is approached along a private road, not suitable for low slung cars.

Fuel central heating inc May – Sept £30 p/w outside these dates. Starter pack of logs supplied, Honesty box for additional logs charged at £4 per basket.

Large comfortable former farmhouse near Hay on Wye
  • Nestling just off the beaten track this ancient 16th century Welsh longhouse with oak beams and thick stone walls is surrounded by farmland - wonderful walking countryside!
  • In an unspoilt rural setting the farmhouse sits at the end of a private road, opposite a converted barn and has been recently refurbished throughout.
  • There is a wide entrance porch with stone benches - an ideal resting place for muddy boots, wet dogs and stacks of dry logs - which leads into an oak panelled hallway with a tiled floor and a door to the 1st floor.
  • A warm welcome awaits you in the beamed farmhouse kitchen/'diner which is very well equipped with everything even the most adventurous cook could desire!
  • The large comfortable lounge has a roaring log- burning stove and comfortable sofas, a further sitting room has an open fire and there are 5 cosy bedrooms on the 1st floor.
 
Rhosgoch Bog
  • This is a ’ must’ place to visit for nature lovers and birdwatchers - Rhosgoch Bog is nearby and is a very special conservation area which can only be accessed with a pass or guide.
 
Begwyn Mountains
  • The nearby Begwyn mountains has a spectacular circular vista,” The Roundabout” from where you can see over seven counties.
 
Black Mountains
  • Roughly in the shape of the fingers of a hand, these four long connected ridges are faily level at the top of a similar height and are ideal for long high level and generally easy walks with fabulous views - once you have conquered the steep approaches! There are also several unconnected hills which are good for short walks.
 
Brecon Beacons National Park
  • This beautiful and diverse part of Wales has stunning landscapes, rolling countryside, wide open spaces, waterfalls and caves, small market towns, canal paths, castles and lots of family attractions to discover - excellent activities, walks and events for all to enjoy are organised by The National Park Authority.
 
Hay on Wye
  • Hay-on Wye is world renowned for books and bookshops with its annual Hay Festival held at the end of May (31.5.12 - 10.6.12) is situated in the Wye Valley, the beautiful border country between England and Wales.
