Accommodation Details:
4 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 8 plus travel cot. Master twin (zip & link beds) with en-suite shower room (shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin), 1 double, 1 twin, 1 bedroom with single bed and 4'6" built-in cabin bed reached by a small ladder.
Towels provided
Family ‘Jack & Jill’ Bathroom - accessed from both the double bedroom and landing with toilet, washbasin and bath with hand held shower. All on 1st floor.
Kitchen/Breakfast Room luxury fitted kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, breakfast table with bench seating and chairs. Highchair on request.
Dining Room with slate floor, dining table and chairs seating 8, antique dresser and ‘collectors corner’, original fireplace with coal effect electric stove. Garden and river views.
Sitting Room 2 x 3 seater sofas, chaise longue, occasional chair, carved fireplace with coal effect electric stove. 32"flat screen tv/dvd with Sky. Garden and river views.

Grounds views across the water, terrace with garden furniture, sloping lawn, lots of bay trees, gate to foreshore and gate to owners slipway. Colman canoes, kayaks, Devon day boat and Sussex Cob Gaff rigged ketch both with outboards (each with a capacity of 4) and rowing dinghies all available to borrow free of charge to competent helmsmen. (Entirely at your own risk, your own life jackets/buoyancy aids are a must and a ‘Disclaimer’ must also be signed).
Secure trailer park and slipway mooring available if you wish to bring your own boat.

About this cottage:
- An elegant Pembrokeshire Georgian waterside house for holidays in a delightful tranquil setting with superb views over sloping lawns across the ever changing broad tidal sweep of Llangwm Pill and Beggars Reach with their steep banks of ancient woodlands and estuary beaches.
- Open a gate set in a stone wall and walk into the garden of this fascinating home. Stylishly decorated and furnished throughout with the owners original artwork displayed in every room.
- The sitting room has a book lined library wall (with library steps), the dining room has a fascinating ‘collectors corner’, a display of the owners hand made pottery and a piano and accordion for the musically inclined!
- Boating is available free of charge to competent users and is carried out entirely at your own risk with a disclaimer first being signed. Please bring your own lifejackets/buoyancy aids. Boats include canoes, kayaks, a ketch rigged Devon Day Boat with outboard, a 14' rowing boat and outboard etc. Own boats welcome, free use of slipway/mooring.
- The county and market town of Haverfordwest is just 5 miles away with supermarkets, individual shops, banks, post office, pubs, cafes, restaurants and fuel stations. A farmers market is held beside the river every other Saturday.
- Broad Haven North's safe sandy beach, popular with families and watersports enthusiasts is just 12 miles and 20 minutes away.
- The owners, who live completely separately in the ‘west wing’, offer the use of canoes, sailing boats and rowing dinghies, free of charge (all at your own risk and please bring lifejackets).
- A mooring on the Pill is also available to competent helmsmen if you wish to bring your own boat - for 2.5 hours either side of high tide you can sail directly from the garden
- The Water bus travels up and down the Cleddau river from Lawrenny stopping at Burton, Hobbs Point, Neyland, Milford Mackeral Stage, Angle, Dale and back. Hop on & off to visit villages and towns along the river. Phone 01646 600288
- Watch waterfowl galore, listen to the call of the curlew and the whispers of voices past in this little known ‘detached’ part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park - peace, quiet and outstanding natural beauty abound in this truly relaxing spot for a holiday at any time of the year whether or not you enjoy boating!
- Llangwm, a fishing village once famous for its oysters, herrings and the distinctively dressed ‘Langum ‘ women, who travelled the countryside in the 19th century selling their catch, is now a small, sleepy village.
- Within walking distance is a small shop, post office, pharmacy, doctors surgery, school, two local ‘watering’ holes – The Cottage Inn and the Rugby Club - and during two weeks in July a Festival, including a Festival of Scarecrows’, is held.
- This is a great place for boating and all watersports, there is fine walking on the Secret Waterway Trail as it winds its way along the mysterious river banks and within an easy drive are all South Pembrokeshire’s glorious beaches for the family to enjoy from this Georgian waterside holiday cottage.
- Gallery in Gumfreston is run by Anne Gregson and her Daughter Jo Davies. Their lively and varied work responds to the natural world and includes drawings, lino cuts, papier mache, paintings in water colour, oil, acrylic and on silk. Visitors ar made welcome.
- The Cornstore is one of the few physical reminders of Pembroke's important maritime trading history. The recent rennovation was awarded for its sympathetic design. Now open as a shop selling innovative furniture, household accessories and gifts over three floors. The Quayside cafe serves good coffee and light lunches.
- Magnificent Pembroke Castle, birthplace of Henry VII is well worth a visit. The buildings and grounds are in excellent repair and offer an exciting place in which to picnic and explore. Can you find the tunnel which leads down to the river? Look out for the schedule of on going events including, music festivals, historical reinactments and much more.
- Fresh fish and family roast served 7 days a week in this characterful waterside village inn.
- Do visit the waterside village of Burton. The Jolly Sailor pub has lawns rolling down to the waters edge and food is served outside and in the conservatory.
- A multi award winning annual seriously fishy week long festival beginning at Milford Haven Marina and Tenby during June/July.
