Kitchen country style with oil fired Aga (Oct-Apr), Calor gas cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine, breakfast table and chairs to seat 3-4.

Lounge/Diner cottage style 2 seater sofa and chair, 2 occasional chairs. Woodburner in inglenook,flat screen tv/dvd, dining suite seating 4, steps to staircase to 1st floor

‘Snug’ entered via 2 steps down with slate fireplace and open coal fire, 2 seater sofa, 2 chairs

Fuel oil central heating inclusive May – September. £30 per week outside these dates. Starter pack of logs.

Grounds Large lawned garden, wild in parts. Garden furniture. Breathtaking views over Newport Bay.

No smoking indoors please.

  • In a superb prime location near the top of Carn Ingli with wonderful views this quaint stone cottage is full of character and charm.
  • A romantic retreat, reached by a rugged mountain track- unsuitable for low slung vehicles - almost on top of the world - tiny windows, wooden beams, slate floors, inglenook fireplace, rooms on various levels and its' own spring water supply (council tested annually).
  • Just a 10 min walk (5 min drive) into the delightful coastal village of Newport.
  • A truly idyllic setting, a walker's delight - a perfect base from which to ramble over the Preseli Hills, explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path or just relax on one of the superb beaches that are within an easy drive.
  • Newport has a range of amenities including bank, post office, library with internet facilities, minimarket & newsagent, chemist, doctor, traditional butchers shop and a filling station.

  • Carn Ingli Mountain & Carn Cwn Rocks Wishing Well

  • A path leads from the front door directly onto Carn Ingli Common (peppered with cairns, stone circles and remnants of iron age fortifications) - great fun to climb and a wonderful viewpoint when you reach the top.
  • In nearby Carn Cwn rocks is a 'Wishing Well' (tiny, hollowed-out cups of water) - replenished by a mysterious spring source - linked to the ebb and flow of the tide?
  • Newport & Newport Boat Club

  • Newport, a friendly, charming seaside village is within walking distance (10min) along a footpath - pubs, restaurants, antique shop, gift and book shops, butchers selling local meat and home-made delicacies and a well stocked wholefood shop.
  • There is sailing from the Boat Club and safe bathing on the nearby Parrog Beach and Newport Sands (2m), golf at the spectacular links course, a handful of pony trekking centres and water sports galore.

  • This 7 mile walk can be extended by 2 miles by climbing up Cairn Ingli for one of the best views in Britain.
  • Golden Road, Preseli Hills

  • The Golden Road is an ancient walking track across the ridge of the Preseli Hills. The effort is rewarded by wonderful views.
  • River Fishing on the Nevern

  • The Nevern is a mixed game fishery with sea trout (known locally as sewin) from May to early September and brown trout all year round.
