Accommodation Details:

3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 7 plus travel cot.1 double en suite, (corner shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin) 1 double and 1 ‘Bunk’ style with double bed and single bed on top. All on 1st floor.

Towels on request at £5 per person.

Bathroom with wash basin and toilet, bath with shower over on 1st floor.

Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Sitting Room fully fitted, well appointed kitchen area with split level electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, small oak table with wooden wall benches 2 stools, high chair. Conservatory with specially designed oak frame, multi-fuel stove, slate floors, ‘L’ shaped sofa, oak dining table with 6 chairs, large telescope for star gazing flatscreen tv with Sky, panoramic views of bay and mountains.

Cloakroom on ground floor with wash basin and toilet.

Fuel starter pack of coal/logs, electric under floor heating and radiators inclusive May – September, £60 per week outside these dates.

Farmhouse for holidays above Harlech with fabulous mountain and sea views.

Perhaps the finest mountain and sea views in the whole of Snowdonia National Park (or indeed in the whole of Wales) are yours to enjoy from this newly restored farmhouse perched high above Harlech.

Sweeping views across the whole of the Lleyn Peninsula and on clear days the mountain on Bardsey Island.

Close by - within a short walk is The Old Farmhouse - Ref 1074 - sleeps 4

The open plan ground floor is dominated by a wide inglenook with two huge white sofas, there are Georgian shuttered windows and a dining table made from local oak.

Light bright bedrooms have characterful features and traditional Welsh blankets.

Spectacular panoramic daytime views from the vast glass conservatory with its massive oak beams and a telescope is provided to star gaze in the unpolluted night

Harlech has a range of amenities including bank, post office, internet cafe, Spar, chemist, filling station, doctor and interesting independent shops.

Harlech Castle is romantically silhouetted on a hillside to the south with the vast bay below where two rivers join the sea forming the spectacular Glaslyn Estuary with majestic and dramatic Snowdonia, with mighty Snowdon at its heart as a backdrop.

From the house there is a circular walk, passing two lovely lakes, fly fishermen will enjoy the challenge of catching trout here - weekly fishing permits available (3 days notice please and a weekly fee of £20 payable to the owner).

Harlech & Llandanwg Beaches

Harlech and Llandanwg are 2 beautiful beaches which are never crowded and totally unspoilt and across the estuary the village of Borth y Gest has lovely sandy coves to explore.

Experienced walkers will enjoy walking on Cadair Idris (Chair of the Giant) 892metres high

Portmeirion Italianate Village

Portmeirion, the Italian style village designed by Sir Clough-Williams Ellis, is nearby and the Ffestiniog Railway starts at Porthmadog crossing the beautiful Glaslyn Estuary. In 2009 the Welsh Highland Railway will open. This promises to be one of Britain’s greatest train journeys through spectacular mountain scenery.

Porthmadog Harbour & Railway Town

At either end of the town are the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway. Choose between a scenic heritage tour through Snowdonia countryside travelling past the mountain village of Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass to Caernarfon or a mountain tour to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you can visit the Lechwedd Slate Caverns.

RSPB Glaslyn Osprey Project

Watch through high powered telescopes and binoculars at the viewing point. See the ospreys feeding their chicks. You may even catch the youngsters first flights. Live images from the nest can be seen on the nestcam in the information centre. Picnic tables are on site from where there are magnificent views of Snowdonia and the surrounding area.

Promenade Cafe Bar, Barmouth & Moorings Bistro, Borth y Gest

While in Barmouth drop in at the Promenade Cafe Bar and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and sea views.

Moorings Bistro in Borth y Gest is a waterside venue with terrace for sunny days and open fire for winter days. Homemade modern and traditional dishes are prepared using local produce such as Welsh Black beef, lamb, fish and shellfish.
