Newport Cottage - 1960's Bungalow

A Newport cottage bungalow set in 1/2 acre of enclosed garden with stunning views over Newport Bay to the Golf Club, within walking distance of Parrog Beach and harbour - a wonderful location for all year round holidays.

A property built during the 1960's - there are many features typical of this decade - a time-warp of late post-war fixtures and styles.

The lounge, a light, airy room, has views over Newport from the front and patio doors leading to the delightful large garden with sloping lawns to the front and rear, mature bushes and shrubs and a large terrace, partially enclosed - ideal for al-fresco meals.

All year round short breaks are available at Sundown. Please phone for avaiability and price.

Newport Coastal Village - Preseli Hills

Newport is a pretty seaside village with a range of small shops and art galleries, bank, post office, library with internet access, minimarket & newsagent, traditional butcher shop, chemist, doctor, filling station, numerous restaurants and pubs.

Sailing, swimming, fishing, hill walking, horse riding, pony trekking and golf all nearby.

Pembrokeshire Coast Path near Newport cottage

Walkers will enjoy the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and also inland the woodland walks in the mystical lush Gwaun Valley and the Preseli Hills - home of the famous 'Blue Stone' of Stonehenge.

Fishguard Coastal Town

Fishguard, a small market town with a ferry terminal for Ireland, supermarket, pubs, shops, cinema, indoor swimming pool and Ocean Lab with cyber café is a short easy drive away from this Newport cottage bungalow.

Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort

Archaeological excavations have been ongoing here for over 20 years. An iron age fort dated to 600BC has been reconstructed with buildings erected on original foundations including a thatched roundhouse. It is a fascinating place to explore with lots of activities for families to enjoy.

Roy Thedvall artist/blacksmith

A range of work in wrought iron and forged steel including clocks, candelabra, fire irons and one off sculptures created by Roy Thedvall. Visit him at his forge at Crymych.

Cardigan Boat Charter & Local Beaches

Enjoy a leisurely trip up the Teifi river. Leave from Prince Charles Quay to explore the beautiful scenery and see the wildlife. Remember your camera and binoculas.

There are a number of lovely beaches to enjoy within easy driving distance such as Ceibwr Bay, Aberporth, Poppit sands, Penbryn, Patch & Gwbert and Pwllgwaelod.

Melin Tregwynt (Woollen Mill), Castlemorris

A delightful whitewashed woollen mill in a remote wooded valley . There has been a milll on this site since the 17th C. Today the mill uses traditional Welsh designs to create useful, beautiful things such as blankets, bags, clothes, throws and cushions. The mill and coffee shop are open 7 days a week.

There is much to enjoy near this Newport cottage - shops, pubs, restaurants only minutes away, beach a 5min stroll, golf a 2 min drive with another beach by the golf course on to which you may drive ideal for non players.
