About this cottage:

Charming holiday cottage with stunning sea and coastal views.

  • This delightful Pembrokeshire cottage owes its name to a derivation of 3 languages Welsh, French & English.
  • Stunning sea and coastal views over the wide sweep of Newport Bay all the way from Dinas Island to Newport – a panorama to bewitch!
  • Perched on the side of Angel Mountain (Carn Ingli) this stone barn has been expertly and sympathetically converted into a luxury home with fantastic views from the 1st floor sitting room, lower ground floor bedroom and garden
  • On 4 levels, there is a twin bedroom on the lower ground floor with a luxurious shower room, a fabulous kitchen with granite worktops on the ground floor, the sitting room is on the 1st floor and double bedroom on the mezzanine.
  • The private garden is on several levels – care with children please - stone walls, flights of stone steps and a gate onto a footpath.
  • Charming holiday cottage overlooks Newport Coastal Village Pembrokeshire

  • The seaside borough of Newport, overlooked by its Norman castle, has a boat club and two beaches. There are award winning restaurants, cafes, pubs, bank, post office, library with internet access, filling station, chemist, doctor, great butchers, antique and health food shops to explore.
  • The tidal estuary is paradise for bird watchers and for golfers, there is a challenging links golf course.
  • Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, Preseli Hills & Preseli Mohair Centre

  • This is wonderful walking country either, on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path or along the ancient footpaths criss-crossing the Preseli Hills (Bluestone country). Why not try pony trekking – ask for a ‘mobile armchair’ – a predictable old Welsh Cob!
  • Stock up on your winter woolies at the Preseli Mohair Centre in Mynachlog ddu. Fleece from home reared Angora goats is used to produce the garments and yarns for sale.
  • Poppit Rocket Bus Service near Newport cottage

  • Do take the opportunity to leave your car behind and make use of the excellent Poppit Rocket National Park bus service. The 405 runs between Cardigan and Newport calling in at all the beaches
  • Cardigan & River and Food Festival

  • This bustling little market town on the Teifi river is well worth a visit to browse the wide range of shops, indoor marrket, gallery, heritage centre It also has a boat club and the vibrant theatre Mwldan.
  • The annual festival celebrates the diversity of food grown and prepared around the River Teifi
  • Bessies (The Dyffryn Arms) Pontfaen

  • A Gwaun Vallley pub, in fact the front room of Bessies house, unaltered since the 1920's. A time warp of service and style. Well worth a visit but don't expect anything other than beer served directly from the barrel.
  • Shore Fishing in Winter around Teifi Estuary & Poppit Sands

  • Winter fishing can provide good bags of flounder, cod and whiting. Remember your favourite seafood recipes.
  • Walk from Cwm Tydu to New Quay

  • A pleasant circular walk of either four or eight miles taking up to two and a half hours.
  • There is lots to see and do near this Newport holiday cottage with sea views. Hill & coastal walking along with boat trips will form the highlight for most at this coastal Pembrokeshire cottage. Do explore the backcloth of Preseli Hills - literally above and behind Parc y Marriage - The name incidentally is a corruption of Norman French mars (French for march). The property formed part of an earlier church property.
