Accommodation Details:

2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 – 3 adults or 2 adults & 2 children over the age of 5. 1 double bedroom and 1 bedroom with bunk beds (the top bunk bed can be removed on request and this bedroom then becomes a single bedroom) both on 1st floor.

Bedlinen & towels provided

Bathroom with bath & shower over, toilet and washbasin – 2 steps down from 1st floor landing.

Kitchen small kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box. Door to steps (5) down to rear courtyard.

Sitting/Dining Room 2 wing armchairs, 2 seater sofa, Freeview digital tv/dvd, cd/radio, electric feature fire. Circular dining table and 4 chairs.

Fuel gas central heating inclusive May – September, £15 per week outside these dates.

Grounds small sheltered courtyard with table and chairs.

Parking offloading at the top of the pathway (50 yds to house) and parking for 1 car in The Royal Oak car park across the high street.

Welcome FREE 1 well behaved dog.

Small Wales holiday cottage in Newport

In the heart of Newport this newly refurbished small cottage is tucked down one of the many ancient narrow winding pathways off the high street which are part of the charm of this pretty seaside village.

The sitting/dining room is a comfortable room with wing armchairs and a sofa and the small private courtyard garden has a table and chairs – ideal for an evening barbecue.

Within walking distance are award winning restaurants, pubs, cafes, antique shop/craft galleries, internet access in the library, bank, post office, an old fashioned butchers/greengrocers, doctors surgery, chemist and a natural health food shop.

The Coastal Path with its fabulous wild flowers and secret coves is within walking distance.

Parrog Beach & Newport Beach

Separated by the Nevern Estuary (fabulous for bird watching) – the Parrog Beach has a slipway and boat club and the Blue Flag Newport Beach has a spectacular mile of sweeping sands at low tide – great for beach games of every variety!

Gentle Walking & Horse Riding

Newport nestles at the foot of the Preseli Hills under Carn Ingli – (Mount of Angels, part SSSI) – and home to the Blue Stone of Stonehenge fame. This is wonderful gentle hill walking or horse riding country across ancient drover’s trails with superb views to Snowdonia, St Davids Peninsula and even the Wicklow Mountains.

Newport Golf Club

Newport Links Golf Club is an 18 hole course overlooking the Nevern Estuary – visitors are welcome and there is an excellent restaurant with fabulous coastal views.

Pentre Ifan, near Newport & Castell Henllys, Meline near Crymych

Lovers of archaeology have lots to discover including Pentre Ifan, a Bronze Age megalithic burial chamber with a huge capstone within a short distance and the Iron Age hill fort of Castell Henllys with its superb representation of an iron age village complete with thatched dwellings.

Gwaun Valley near Wales holiday cottage

Just inland is the tranquil Gwaun Valley with its river winding through ancient woodlands carpeted by bluebells in the spring – lots of wildlife too including buzzards and otters.
