What a delightful place, thank you so much for sharing it! Sitting in the back garden on a sunny February day with my morning coffee and my dog sitting on the grass listening to the family giggle around the house, collecting sticks for the fire, all golden memories. All of us say, thank you so much. We will be back.

We have had a really super week. Celebrated a birthday and Valentines Day. We have had wind, rain and sunshine, the island is superb whatever the weather. We have felt so at home here, such a beautiful house, and every facility you could wish for. Don’t miss going to Newborough beach and Llandwyn island off it, it’s just magical. We will definitely be back. The Smithy is also doggy heaven. Thank you. Diolch!

Having stayed here some 24 years ago, or so, I was so pleased to come back. I remembered having such a great time as a child so wanted to bring my own child back and hope that it made as much impression on her as it did on me as a child. We only managed to track down the cottage in an old brochure when clearing out my father's house, sadly he couldn't be here to revisit the house. It is fantastic. The house is so stunning and I wish we could stay but our farm is calling. We will however be back, hopefully with less rain!

Fantastic week at The Smithy. Great walks, great pubs, great being here. The cottage is wonderful, the log fire is made for cosy evenings, the whole property is lovely and complete with a superb history. Will be back soon, Alfie the dog settled in straight away and he says woof woof, thank you for letting dogs stay.

Lynne & John byers

Fantastic time at the cottage and we were so luck with the weather. Comfortable and well equipped and a great base to explore the island. Had lovely meals at The Ship Inn at Red Wharf Bay, The White Eagle, Bishopsgate Hotel and Bulkeley Hotel in Beaumaris. Golf Course next door is a bonus! Great walks at Newborough forest, Breakwater Country Park and South Stack lighthouse…. Hope to return.

Had a really relaxing week, weather was good, we could see storms over Snowdonia whilst lovely here! The Bulkeley in Beaumaris does great coffee and you can take the dogs and they even do cakes for them. The coastal walks are fantastic, very enjoyable. Thank you very much.

Crich & Desbrow family

Well where do we start? The communications with Betty from the start, during and at the end of our stay was amazing (she is an absolute star). The cottage was our first ever Christmas away from home and what a fantastic place to spend it. It is the most beautiful cottage we could have wished for, the setting, the local people and Jon next door. The children were allowed to ring the church bells on Christmas Eve communion. This cottage has everything we need and more, the Christmas tree was fantastic (I was a little worried before arriving that it might not be festive enough for my 2 young children). It was perfect. We have had one of the best Christmases ever and will definitely be returning. Thank you for your card and wine, we hope to be back soon. Thank you so much for letting us spend such a special time in your lovely home.

Having stayed before, we were really happy to be back 'home' at the Smithy. We have become very fond of it here. The weather was good to us this time, which made a pleasant change. Again, we had another amazing meal at the Lobster Pot in Church bay - highly recommended! Food at the Antelope on the bridge was good for the price too. And the Gazelle did great steak with amazing views of the Menai Strait. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you for making our holiday special.
