• A world heritage site. The last of Edward 1 'iron ring' built to dominate the Welsh. Begun in 1295, formidible defences of this unfinished castle survive to this day.

• Set against a lush green backdrop is a bit of an adventure to get to but its natural, long and spacious haven is ideal for family fun, a dip in the sea, windsurfing, kite-surfing and quality sea-fishing.

• Beaches at Benllech, Traeth Bychan, Red Wharf Bay and Lligwy are all within easy reach.
• The Lleyn Peninsula via the Brunel Bridge which spans Menai Strait is within comfortable driving distance of this north Wales holiday cottage.
