Accommodation Details:

2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 plus cot. 1 twin, 1 double.

All on ground floor.

Bathroom Victorian country style bath with hand held shower, toilet, washbasin.

Kitchen with Aga, 2 ring electric hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine. Large refectory table, long bench, 3 chairs, cushioned wall seating, high chair, tv, Victorian glass fronted cupboard, stable doors to garden.

Sitting Room multifuel stove, large couch, 1 wing chair, Indian style bench, tv/video, Victorian writing desk, book lined walls and book-lined gallery, French doors leading to grounds.

Fuel 1 bag of coal, 1 wheelbarrow of logs, oil central heating May – September £15, outside these dates £20 per week.

Grounds enclosed lawn and seating area large mature trees, garden furniture.

Restored 18th Century Long House - traditional Welsh cottage for self catering holidays

  • A beautifully and distinctively restored 18th century longhouse, stylish and cosy, attached to an Elizabethan farmhouse, Llys Derwin - Property Ref 056. The owners live in the nearby farmstead, an excellent source of local information
  • Décor and furnishings throughout are an eclectic mixture of Scandinavian, French and Welsh influences.
  • Warm, intimate sitting room - book lined walls and a gallery and a large comfortable kitchen with Aga, cushioned wall seating and small sash windows.
  • A trout stream meanders through the owner’s land - ideal for fishing.

  • Take a peaceful walk/cycle ride along a pathway which runs 100 yards from cottage - originally the railway track from Porthmadog down into Caernarfon (12m).
  • Cwm Pennant & Borth y Gest Sands

  • Walk Cwm Pennant (one of the most beautiful valleys in Wales) behind the cottage and with its timeless qualities of tranquillity and peace is sure to restore the most jaded of spirits!
  • Borth-y-Gest is a small, pretty harbour village with sheltered, sandy, coves.
  • Criccieth Castle, Town & Beaches

  • Criccieth just 6 miles away overlooked by its medieval castle has golden beaches (lots of good places to eat) a good range of local amenities including bank, post office, internet cafe, chemist, health centre, filling station, supermarket and not forgetting delicious ice-creams at Cadwaller's.
