About this cottage:
- A quaint small Pembrokeshire cottage in the heart of the ancient sleepy village of Ambleston, with its tiny
- Grade II listed medieval Church, almost in the shadow of the Preseli Hills.
- Newly decorated and tastefully furnished, the cosy sitting room has an open fire and 3 steps lead up from the separate dining room into the kitchen. There is a pretty enclosed cottage sheltered rear garden with a patio, garden furniture and raised lawn.
- Surrounded by peaceful countryside the cottage truly reflects its name 'quite place' and is perfect for a ‘get away from it all’ holiday in tranquil surroundings - lots of countryside walks from your doorstep.
- Ambleston Common & Wallis Moor are uncultivated areas. Wallis Moor is a wet heath with marshy grassland and is a habitat for the Marsh Fritillary butterfly as well as dragonfly, orchids and ottters.
- The glorious Pembrokeshire Coast, both north and south, is within a 10 - 16 mile drive. Walk the beautiful coastal path, discover hidden coves and beaches, take adventurous boat trips, visit arts/craft galleries and enjoy wonderful food at award winning eateries.
- This pretty little coastal village now a conservation area punctuates the coastal path. It's industrial past is represented by fascinating disused brick buildings lining one side of the harbour where local slate and dolerite were once handled.
- A popular ancient pub The Sloop and award winning restaurant The Shed provide delicious food including locally caught seafood. Boat trips can be arranged to view the magnificent north Pembrokeshire coastline and marine wildlife.
- Llys y Fran Country Park and Reservoir with its impressive dam has a Visitor Centre with shop, restaurant, children's play area and angling centre - hire a mountain bike and cycle the 7 mile track around the lake – great fun and lots of exercise!
- Scolton Manor and Country Park, on the outskirts of the county town of Haverfordwest, has an environmental friendly Visitor Centre and the Manor House and stable block give a glimpse of life in the Victorian Era – all set in 60 acres of parkland with nature trails, picnic sites and play areas.
- Visit ~pembrokeshireproducedirect.co.uk(pembrokeshireproducedirect.co.uk)~ or telephone 01437 563035 and choose from over 2000 items of fresh, locally produced and mostly organic goodies - fruit, vegetables, meat, bread etc. Order on the Tuesday before your Saturday arrival date and your goods will be awaiting you at Mantawel Cottage.
- Enjoy a truly peaceful holiday in tranquil rural village in the heart of Pembrokeshire, within an easy drive of the glorious coastline, in this quaint Pembrokeshire cottage.
