Cottage in Laugharne
A century old white-washed country cottage in the 'Valley of the Hawk', a small peaceful wooded vale near Laugharne - perfect for a relaxing holiday in any season. Paradise for birdwatchers and naturalists there are lovely views from the cosy open plan sitting/dining/kitchen, with its woodburning stove, across open country and marshland to Gower and Worm's Head. The cottage has recently been completely restored and refurbished and is furnished throughout in a minimalist fresh style with quality modern wooden furniture, bright curtains and pretty bedlinen.
Laugharne and surrounding areas
Laugharne, on the estuary of the River Taf, is a short drive away and has well known restaurants, shops, tea-rooms, inns, a romantic ruined castle and 'The Boathouse' , a museum to the renowned Welsh poet Dylan Thomas. Pendine, with its 7 mile long beach famous for Sir Malcolm Campbell's world land speed records, is now popular for kite-buggying and beach games. A little further away are the pretty coastal villages of Saundersfoot with its lovely beaches and Amroth, the start of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Inland there is the lush Carmarthenshire countryside to explore and for family days out Oakwood Leisure Park, Folly Farm and Heatherton Country Park are only a short drive away from this holiday cottage near Laugharne.

2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 plus cot. 2 bedrooms, each with a double bed.
Bedlinen provided.
Bathroom with bath (shower over) toilet and washbasin. Washer/dryer in cupboard.
Sitting/dining/kitchen open plan with 2 x 2 seater sofas, wood burning stove, tv/dvd, radio/cd, table and chairs seating 4 (highchair on request) fitted kitchen with integrated fridge, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave. Highchair.
Fuel gas central heating and starter pack of logs inclusive May – September £15 per week outside these dates.
Grounds 8 steps up to cottage and front terrace with low fence (care with children please) and large steeply sloping garden behind cottage. Patio area with table and chairs, lawns bounded by a brook across the very quiet lane.
Parking for 2 cars.
