Fishguard holiday cottage.
- A gem of a small 18th century Pembrokeshire cottage in a unique location.
- Perched by the side of Fishguard’s picturesque ‘Marine Walk' – a mile long coastal footpath with some spectacular sea views as it winds its way around the headland to Parrog Beach- the cottage has been lovingly renovated and furnished with a pleasing blend of modern and antique pieces.
- French doors open from the sitting room onto a pretty cottage garden, on several levels, with panoramic views over the picturesque harbour and quay at Lower Town – ‘Under Milk Wood’ and ‘Moby Dick’ were both filmed here.
- A 5 minute stroll away are individual shops - award winning butchers/fishmongers, excellent greengrocers/florists, shoe shop, tea shops, chocolatiers, gift/craft/art galleries. The town has a small cinema and an annual international music festival in July/August which is becoming increasingly popular.
- There is a variety of eating places and several ‘local’s to choose from. A fortnightly Farmers Market is held in the newly refurbished Town Hall - home to the ‘Last Invasion of Britain’ (1797) Tapestry - the heroine of the hour, Jemima Nichols, is buried in the local Churchyard
- Parrog Beach at Goodwick is safe for most watersports and the ferry to Ireland leaves daily from the far side of the Bay. Pwllgwaloed and Cwm yr Eglwys, 2 sheltered sandy coves are both within a short drive.
- Leave the car behind and explore Pembrokeshire by bus - from Easter to the end of September there are 2 ‘hail and ride’ bus services, the ‘Strumble Shuttle’ which meanders along the coast to St Davids and the ‘Poppit Rocket’ to Poppit Sands (the start of the Coastal Path) and Cardigan.
- Lots to see and do close to this Fishguard holiday cottage.
