  • Fantastic far reaching views towards the Kerry Ridgeway from this traditional sympathetically restored 18th century timber framed barn set in a truly scenic, tranquil location.
  • Reached via a delifghtful, private curving drive across the Valley, this is a former farmstead with the original farm house is occupied by the owner just outside the village of Adfa.
  • Surrounded by undulating farmland, sheep folds and gentle green hill, the barn has been sympathetically restored and furnished to a high residential standard.
  • There is a wealth of original exposed beams, Welsh oak floors and Suffolk latched doors, all lovingly handmade by the owner.

  • The Kerry Ridgeway and Llyn Mawr Nature Reserve
  • This is wonderful walking country criss-crossed by countless ancient tracks.
  • The Kerry Ridgeway, which runs along the crest of Kerry Hill, is the oldest of all these routes and is a gentle undulating walk through heather moors, cool woodlands and bilberry rich heathers with fantastic views – ideal for walkers, mountain bikers, fisherfolk (coarse and fly fishing are nearby) and horseriders.
  • There is the fabulous circular walk (3.5m) at Llyn Mawr Nature Reserve past a trio of lakes, Llyn Mawr, Lyn-y-Tarw and Llyn Du - a place of standing stones, tall skies, boggy hollows and watery margins which in the summer come alive with flowers and water voles, buzzards and skylarks, a real walk on the wildside!
  • Gregynog Hall is within an easy drive and has 750 acres of landscaped parkland dotted with sculptures and hosts an annual music festival in June which attracts classical, jazz and folk artists of international repute.
  • Return to the bustle of modern life in Newtown - a traditional thriving market town set on the banks of the mighty River Severn, with theatres, galleries and excellent shops.
