  • Lovely beaches within a short drive include Borthygest with its small pretty harbour and sheltered sandy coves and Criccieth overlooked by its medieval castle which has 2 Blue Flag beaches and lots of good eating places. Portmeirion designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis is a picturesque Italianate village beside the estuary. There are shops, cafes, restaurants, gardens and a lovely riverside walk. Do look out for Portmeirion Pottery.

  • Porthmadog, Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh highland Railway
  • In Porthmadog there are 2 narrow gauge railways - The Rheilffordd Ffestiniog and the Welsh Highland - steam locomotives running along almost 40 miles of narrow gauge track through the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. The busy little harbour town also has a good range of local amenities including banks, post office, internet cafe, chemist, doctors surgery, vet, supermarket and filling station.

  • RSPB Osprey Viewing Centre Glaslyn
  • Do visit the Italian style village of Portmeirion, lovely gardens, walks and distinctive shops. The pretty village of Beddgelert at the foot of Snowdon has riverside walks along spectacular gorges and the RSPB have a viewing centre for the Ospreys who have made this their summer home.

  • ACCOMMODATION: 2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4. 1 en-suite (bath with shower over, toilet, washbasin,) with king size bed 1 twin (2'6" beds) en-suite (wet room shower, toilet and Empire style washbasin). Both on ground floor.
    Luxury monogrammed bedlinen, towels, dressing gowns and slippers provided.
