- Set in the grounds of the owner’s country house, ‘Tyddyn Mawr’, the cottage has a classical French style interior in cream and gold and an open plan ground floor.
- Honeypot ~Property Ref (1098) ~ its 'sister' cottage, is also discreetly located in the same grounds.
- The stunning bedroom a, huge Louis XIV style bed and dainty couch and chairs on the 1st floor.
- The small private rear courtyard has wrought iron garden furniture, perfect for breakfast or relaxing on summer evenings and to truly appreciate the peace and tranquillity wander in the extensive grounds which include a beautiful lake.
- The busy little harbour town of Porthmadog just 6 miles away has a good range of amenities including banks, post office, internet cafe, supermarkets, chemist, health centre, vetinary surgery and filling station. It is also home to the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.
Walk Cwm Pennant and North Wales
- Nearby is Cwm Pennant, one of North Wales’ best kept secret valleys, follow the river along quiet wooded lanes above which are the high hills of Snowdonia.
Black Rock Sands & Borth y Gest Coves
- The cottage is close to many lovely beaches, 2 with Blue Flag status at Criccieth, the long expanse of Black Rock Sands and the pretty intimate little coves at Borthygest.
Portmeirion
- The Italian style village of Portmeirion designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis is also nearby, a perfect romantic destination, reserve a meal at the fabulous Portmeirion Hotel and enjoy drinks on the terrace with fine views of the Glaslyn Estuary and Harlech Castle in the distance.
Snowdonia National Park & RSPB Glaslyn
- Set at the gateway of Snowdonia National Park, the RSPB have an Osprey Viewing Centre on the Glaslyn River and to truly appreciate the magnificence of Snowdonia take a train ride on the newly opened Welsh Highland Railway.

1 Double Bedroom sleeping 2 with king size French style bed, small Louis XIV style couch and chair, tv. Adjoining Dressing Area with built in wardrobes (room for baby’s cot)
Bathroom bath with shower over bath, toilet, washbasin. All on 1st floor.
Luxury monogrammed bedlinen, towles, dressing gowns and slippers provided.
Kitchen/Dining/Sitting Room luxury fully fitted kitchen units, split level electric oven and electric hob, built in microwave, larder fridge, freezer, washing machine. Circular dining table seating 4, French door to patio. French style fireplace with electric heater, 3 seater sofa, Sky tv/dvd.
Cloakroom with washbasin and toilet on ground floor.
Fuel all inclusive, electric underfloor heating and oil central heating.
Grounds rear courtyard with water feature, swing seat, bench, table and chairs 4 steps down to French door and into cottage.
Access to grounds with seating area around stream, walks to and around lake with picnic table, fishing in lake and permits for River Dwyfor.
Parking at rear.
