Snowdonia and Lleyn Peninsula
- `Harlech' translated means 'beautiful ridge' - a perfect description, beautiful, remote and totally unspoilt with its magnificent beach encircled by Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula both within easy reach. The historic town has a good range of local amenities including independent local shops, small supermarket, bank, post office, internet cafe, chemist, health centre, and filling station.
- Enjoy tea and scones at the Plas Cafe and wander through Harlech's distinctive and unusual little shops - there are several good restaurants and a theatre within walking distance of Moranedd.
Walk Cwm Bychan
- Explore the lovely rugged countryside just below the Rhinog Mountains, visit Cwm Bychan - a place with a timeless quality - strange terrain, dark mysterious lake, ancient woodlands and feral goats.
- The Italianate village of Portmeirion is an experience not to be missed, dine at the hotel and wander through the floodlit village or enjoy a meal at the new brasserie.
Criccieth Castle
- A dramatic 13th C stone ruin standing upon a rocky promontory above Tremadog Bay. The castle dominates the town with each of its streets seemingly leading to its walls.
Lechwedd Slate Caverns & Hatrlech Beach
- A deep miners tramway tour travels back in time to 1846 to see the working conditions of the mine in Victorian times. Visit the old sweet shop and the Miners Arms pub.
- Harlech Beach is a stretch of golden sands backed by a natural dune system one of the finest examples of its kind in Britain. Why not pack a picnic and enjoy a day exploring.
Snowdonia National Park & Shell Island
- An area of outstanding natural beauty and magnificent scenery with access and activities for all including walking, cycling, motoring, bird and wildlife watching, picnicing and much more.
- Shells are found in abundance after severe storms at Shell Island between Harlech and Barmouth, wild flowers too making this a wonderful place to walk
National Centre for Welsh Music
- An award winning visitor attraction in Dolgellau. Do go along and see beautiful harps and other musical instruments, enjoy a hands on experience and browse the shop before enjoying refreshments in the cafe.

Precipice Walk Dolgellau
- This 3 mile walk takes about one and a half hours and is suitable for families. It offers stunning views of the Mawddach estuary and Snowdonia.
