Bird watching - Red Kites abound - walking and trekking with the old drover's roads to explore either on foot or by car, fishing, pony trekking and golf all available locally. Within easy reach are the glorious beaches of Cardigan Bay, Brecon Beacons National Park, Tregaron Bog (SSSI), Pembrokeshire Coastal National Park. Gower Peninsula castles, churches, abbeys, railways, craft workshops, gold mines, arts and crafts centres - there is much to explore and discover in this beautiful unspoilt area of Wales. For those interested in gardening a visit to both the National Botanic Gardens of Wales at Middleton Hall,Llanarthne (largest single span glass house in the world) and Aberglasney near Llandeilo 'A Garden Lost in Time' - seen in the BBC series - a truly magical place in the beautiful Tywi Valley - are musts. Do visit the Drover's Arms - now owned by the local community - 600 yds away in the village - for good bar meals and friendly company.
