Brecon Beacons and the Usk Valley

Many friendly, award winning pubs and inns in the area serving good locally produced food - The Skirrid Inn is reputedly one of the oldest inns in Wales.

Lots to see and do close by - first class golf courses (Alice Springs, San Piere and Celtic Manor) walking, cycling, pony trekking, and definitely for the more adventurous, hang gliding!.

Tintern Abbey, the best preserved medieval Abbey in Wales, Llanthony Priory, an important site of religious solitude, the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and Abergavenny with its twice weekly market are all within a 20 minutes drive.

Hay on Wye (literary festival in early summer) and Brecon (world famous jazz festival) are both an easy drive away.

The Vale of Usk and Wye Valley are areas of outstanding natural beauty - with some of the finest salmon fishing in England and Wales - lots to discover when holidaying in this Brecon Beacons cottage holiday in the foothills of the National Park.
