Restored stone Cottage near Harlech
Cleverly restored with an impressive inglenook and tiny windows set in thick walls in the lounge – cosy in winter and a cool haven in the summer. (The builder won an award for this restoration work 'Best Barn Conversion in North Wales) French doors lead out to a delightful conservatory and a patio which is a riot of colour and a real sun trap - a pleasure to eat outside with the sun streaming through the trees. Colourful cosy bedrooms have some traditional Welsh blankets. Perched on a higher ledge above the patio is a summer house with wonderful views of Cardigan Bay and Snowdon – sunsets watched from here will linger in the memory long after your holiday has ended.

You can also enjoy excellent food at the Castle Cottage Hotel or wander up into the hills and take pleasure in scenery unchanged for more than 100 years. There is a good range of local amenities including independent shops, small supermarket, banks, post office internet cafe, chemist, health centre and filling station.

Lloyd George Museum
Llanystumdwy is a small picturesque village with the river Dwfor running through it and boy hood home of Lloyd George now a museum dedicated to the life and work of this great 20th C statesman. Have a drink and a bite to eat in the Tafarn y Plu while you are in the village a friendly old fashioned village pub. Families are welcome.
The Welsh Highland Railway & Rheilffordd Ffestiniog Railway
These wonderful heritage trains are found one at either end of Porthmadog town. Either choose a trrip to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you could visit the Llechedd Slate Caverns or a scenic trip through the Snowdonia countryside.
Shore Fishing Shell Island
Shore fishing at Shell Island yields bass, flounder, dab, mackeral, whiting, gurnard and mullet on low or high tide. Do remember your fishing gear and favourite seafood recipes.
