National Trust
- Llandanwg, with a lovely National Trust field behind, is a small bay with rock pools and a tiny 13th century church nestling in the sand dunes - dolphins and porpoise swim close to the shore on quiet, hot days – do sample the exceptionally good snacks served at the beach café.
Harlech and Snowdonia
- Cwm Bychan nearby is a mystical valley with feral goats, meandering river, deeply wooded hillsides and magical lake.
Harlech Town, Castle & Portmeirion
- Harlech with its huge castle is a pleasant stroll away and has small intimate shops and good restaurants, a small supermarket, bank, post office, internet cafe, chemist, health centre and filling station.
- Portmeirion designed by Sir Clough-Williams Ellis is an Italianate village built on a naturally beautiful site beside the river. It is full of interesting little shops, look out for Portmeirion pottery, a choice of places to eat and drink, beautiful gardens and a riverside walk.
Criccieth Antiques & Collectors Fairs & Beaches
- The magpies in your party will enjoy Criccieth Antiques and Collectors Fairs held every Monday throughout the summer at Criccieth Memorial Hall.
- There are so many lovely beaches nearby you could easily choose one for each day of your holiday - Harlech has two, Dyffryn Ardudwy, Morfa Dyffrin (Nudist beach), Criccieth Marine, Abermawr, Llandanwg, Tal y Bont, Llanbedr and there are more!
Sherpa Bus Service
- Leave your car behind and hop on and off the Sherpa Bus as it travels through the beautiful Snowdonia countryside.
Rheillfford Ffestiniog Railway & Welsh Highland Railway
- One at either end of Porthmadog town. Choose a scenic journey through Snowdonia or a trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you could visit the fascinating Llechwedd Slate Caverns.

- Dolmelynllyn Garden at Ganllwyd has park land, a lake, woodland, formal garden, kitchen garden and lovely walks. The 16th C house is now a hotel and offers tea, coffee and dinner to non reidents. Lunch is also available during high season.,

Precipice Walk Dolgellau
- This 3 mile walk takes about one and a half hours and is suitable for families. It offers stunning views of the Mawddach estuary and Snowdonia.
