- Awake to unrivalled views of the constantly changing sea and sky from the two principal bedrooms, relax on one of the window seats to dream awhile and watch the sunsets over the ‘ heron-priested shore’ and perhaps like the great poet himself think ‘ some, like myself, just came one day, for the day, and never left’ (Dylan Thomas’ ‘ Quite early one morning’ ).

- Excellent restaurants serving local Welsh produce - The Cors, The Portreeve's and Seaview a former home of Dylan Thomas - a fascinating book shop and antique shop, all within strolling distance.
- Dylan's Walk is a scenic loop heading north from the castle beside the river. Afterwards enjoy refreshments in one of the variety of places to eat and drink in the picturesque village.
Pemberton's Chocolate Farm
- Lots of activities locally including horse riding, coastal walks, boat trips, game golf and sea fishing. Great destinations for family days out within a short drive include the miles of golden sands at Pendine, Grove Land Adventure Park for tots and true chocolate lovers shouldn’ t miss Pemberton’ s Chocolate Farm.
Towy & Cothi River Valleys
- The tranquil, lush Towy and Cothi River Valleys, National Botanical Garden of Wales, Aberglasney (A Garden Lost in Time) and the beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, dotted with romantic ruined castles and a dozen sleepy market towns are within an easy drive of this Laugharne luxury holiday house with fabulous panoramic views.
Llansteffan Castle
- A magnificent ruin dominating the lovely village of Llansteffan. Approach the castle on foot from the southern side. Your walk will be rewarded with views of the Tywi estuary and lush green hills. Look out for cockle pickers.
Jen Jones' Antique Welsh Quilts
- Do visit Jen Jones' Antique Welsh Quilts and Blankets in Llanybydder. There is a fascinating permanent collection as well as many beautiful items for sale. Jen has written several informative books and articles for newspapers and magazines.She is frequently asked to give talks and is currently developing a purpose built gallery/museum.
White House Mill Trout Fishery
- Do visit Lamphey and this premier fishery specialising in Top of the Water fly fishing for rainbow and brown trout.
Tenby & Caldey Island
- Visit Tenby the popular seaside town with 5 glorious Blue Flag beaches and bustling town centre full of shops, crafts, gallery, cafes, bars and restaurants. Stroll down to the harbour and buy a ticket to Caldey Island home to Cistercian monks for a thousand years. More lovely beaches and countryside to explore and the island shop stocks excellent produce made by the resident monks including, chocolate, perfume and shortbread.
Swallow Tree Garden Spa, Saundersfoot & Museum of Speed, Pendine
- Pamper yourself at Swallow Tree Garden Spa in Saundersfoot - a leisure spa with an a la carte restaurant and sea views.
- Do visit the fascinating little Museum of Speed in Pendine. Explore the history of Pendine's sands as a race venue and see Babs the car in which Parry Thomas made his fatal attemot at the world land speed record in 1927. The car was dug out of the sands in 1969 and restored to its former glory.
Carmarthen
- Enjoy a day shopping in the little bustling market and county town of Carmarthen. The indoor market has antiques, bric a brac, books, excellent local produce and lots more. There are interesting independent shops as well as chain stores, banks, post office, internet cafe, chemist, doctor, vet and filling satation.
