Edward I magnificent Castle (childrens play area, pitch and putt golf course and a lovely crown bowling green in the grounds), a variety of shops and places to eat, a pier originally built in 1846, the venue for local cruise and fishing trip boats and a fine Jacobean court house and Victorian gaol.

• There are a number of lovely beaches a short distance away from Green Edge including Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr, Llanddona (Blue Flag) and Benllech (Blue Flag)

• Three boats leave from Beaumaris Pier. Fishing trips for all abilities and pleasure cruises along the scenic Menai Strait to Puffin Island bird sanctuary and seal colonies.

• Do visit Oriel Kyffin Williams at Llangefni to see the wonderful work of the most celebrated and respected artist inspired by the Welsh landscape and farmlands.

• From one technological age to another. This one and a half hour country walk from Howell Mill to old Llynon Mill passes beside a modern wind farm farm. The stone ground course flour at Llynon Mill has low GI particularly good for diabetics.
