Luxury holiday cottage on Lleyn Peninsula

Sweeping panoramic views from this ancient granite cottage which is in undoubtedly the finest location on the Lleyn Peninsula with views encompassing Porth Neigwl, Cardigan Bay and the sweep of mountains from The Rivals to the whole of the Snowdonia range beyond.

Whitewashed stone cottage

Originally a white washed stone cottage dating back in parts to the 16th century it has been sympathetically extended to include a large sitting room with huge patio doors to maximize guests enjoyment of the splendid views.

There is a new rear wing, a ‘cathedral’ ceiling lounge with stairs leading to a ‘minstrel’s gallery’ beyond which is an en suite bedroom and in the original part of the cottage the huge luxury kitchen has a refectory table seating 12, ‘Aga style’ range cooker and solid oak units. There are 3 wood burning stoves and beautiful stone flagged floors throughout.

The cottage is surrounded by lawns, slate paved patios and walkways with wooden garden furniture at the front and a 10 seater aluminium dining table, built-in outdoor fireplace with separate barbecue at the back.

Modern life is not far away however, the cottage has unlimited wireless broadband

Lleyn Peninsula (AONB) & Coastal Path

Designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ the tip of the Lleyn Peninsula is home of interesting and rare wildlife. Listen to the call of razorbills, guillemots and various gulls.

The Lleyn Peninsula Coastal Path can be joined by the cottage and is the best way to explore this remote lovely area.

Porth Ysgo Sand & Pebble Inlet & Porth Neigwl Beach

Walk down the steps to this beautiful bay close by and 1 mile below is the premier surf bay of Porth Neigwl.

Aberdaron & Beach

Aberdaron is at the very tip of the Peninsula, enjoy lunch on the balcony overlooking the beach at Ty Newydd or dinner at the excellent Ship Inn with its sea food restaurant above the village.

Bardsey Island

In good weather a boat ride to Bardsey Island is unforgettable. This was a Holy Island in Medieval times and a place of pilgrimage, explore the ruins of the mystical 13th Century Augustinian Abbey or just enjoy the stunning wildlife.

Plas yn Rhiw Georgian Manor House (N.T.)

Just below the cottage is Plas yn Rhiw (N.T.) a small Georgian manor house with delightful ornamental gardens where time stands still showing a way of life long disappeared from the Lleyn countryside.
