  • Perhaps the finest sweeping mountain and sea views in the whole of Snowdonia National Park (or indeed in the whole of Wales) are yours to enjoy from these smartly furnished cottages within a short walk of each other  - Moel y Gifr (Ref 1075) and the Old Farmhouse, (Ref 1074) both perched high above Harlech.
  • The open plan ground floor of Moel y Gifr  is dominated by a wide mountain farmhouse inglenook with two huge white sofas, there are Georgian shuttered windows and a dining table made from local oak.
  • The Old Farmhouse has been beautifully restored with a glass gable end  from where French doors open out onto a patio  -  views across fern covered Snowdonia hillsides dotted with brilliant crimson foxgloves in summertime.
  • The open plan ground floor of The Old Farmhouse has a stylish kitchen, dining area with circular table and smartly furnished lounge area.
  • The views of Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdonia on the way to Moel y Gifr and The Old Farmhouse are unforgetable.
  • Walk up to two beautiful lakes - weekly fishing permits are available (3 days notice please and at a cost of £20 per week payable to the owner) - enjoy amazing panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, Lleyn Peninsula and the Snowdon mountain range.
  • Beyond the lakes are a ring of standing stones - magical and mysterious a place of peace and beauty. 
  • Harlech town with its magnificent castle is just 5 miles away and has a good range of local amenities including interesting independent shops, Spar, bank, post office, internet cafe, chemist, health centre and a filling station.

  • Harlech's huge sweeping sandy beach is never crowded and has stunning views of the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdon all with a backdrop of the majestic castle.
Royal St Davids Golf Club Harlech
  • Overlooked by Harlech Castle, The Royal St Davids Golf Club is Wales's second best golf course, is on your doorstep and across the bay beyond Porthmadog is the pretty village of Borth y Gest with lovely secret little coves.
Portmeirion Italianate Village & Steam Railways
  • Portmeirion, the Italian style village designed by Sir Clough-Williams Ellis, is nearby and the Ffestiniog Narrow Gauge Railway are amongst many local attractions.  
  • The Welsh Highland Railway's dramatic ride through the mountains is surely one of Britain's greatest train journeys running between Caernarfon and Porthmadog - steeped in maritime history and there is a fascinating Maritime Museum to enthrall.
Eisteddfa Fishery & Precipice Walk
  • Game and coarse fishing for all the family on 5 lakes stocked with carp and trout. Fishing tackle is for sale on site.
  • The family friendly 3 mile Precipice Walk takes about one and a half hours. It offers stunning views of the 
Ysgethin Inn, Tal y Bont & Castle

3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 7 plus travel cot.1 double en suite, (corner shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin) 1 double and 1 'Bunk' style with double bed and single bed on top. All on 1st floor.

Bathroom with wash basin and toilet, bath with shower over on 1st floor.

Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Sitting Room fully fitted, well appointed kitchen area with split level electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, small oak table with wooden wall benches 2 stools, high chair. Dining/Sitting area with large oak dining table seating 6, wide inglenook with wood burner, 2 large three seater sofas, Sky tv, cd/radio.

Conservatory with specially designed oak frame, multi-fuel stove, slate floors, 'L' shaped sofa, oak dining table with 8 chairs, large telescope for star gazing flatscreen tv with Sky, panoramic views of bay and mountains.

Grounds fully enclosed fenced patio area with garden furniture & barbeque. Bench in field above to view sunset.

Ample parking but please note the lane from the main road to the cottages is narrow and very steep in parts.

Welcome FREE 1 dog max - please restrict to ground floor.

Please do not smoke indoors.
