Royal St Davids Golf Course, Harlech
  • Overlooked by Harlech Castle this is one of Wales' premier links courses described by professionals as 'the hardest par 69 in the world'. Families can enjoy the adjoining sandy beach whilst golfers pursue their addiction! 
Portmeirion Italianate Village
  • Portmeirion, the Italian style village designed by Sir Clough-Williams Ellis, is nearby and the Ffestiniog Railway starts at Porthmadog crossing the beautiful Glaslyn Estuary. 
  • The Welsh Highland Railway also starts from here and is surely now one of Britain's greatest train journeys through spectacular mountain scenery. 
Porthmadog Harbour & Railway Town
  • At either end of the town are the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway. Choose between a scenic heritage tour through Snowdonia countryside travelling past the mountain village of Beddgelert and the Aberglaslyn Pass to Caernarfon or a mountain tour to Blaenau Ffestiniog where you can visit the Lechwedd Slate Caverns. 
RSPB Glaslyn Osprey Project
  • Watch through high powered telescopes and binoculars at the viewing point. See the ospreys feeding their chicks. You may even catch the youngsters first flights. Live images from the nest can be seen on the nestcam in the information centre. Picnic tables are on site from where there are magnificent views of Snowdonia and the surrounding area.

  • While in Barmouth drop in at the Promenade Cafe Bar and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and sea views.
  • Moorings Bistro in Borth y Gest is a waterside venue with terrace for sunny days and open fire for winter days. Homemade modern and traditional dishes are prepared using local produce such as Welsh Black beef, lamb, fish and shellfish.

Lechwedd Slate Caverns Snowdonia
  • Take a tour deep into the mountain to explore the life of Victorian miners. By narrow gauge train and by foot you will pass through 10 breathtaking caverns and a spectacular underground lake. 
Salem Chapel, Cefncymerau near Llanbedr
  • Salem Chapel and attached caretakers cottage is now a Cadw Grade II listed building. The chapel was made famous by artist Sydney Curnow Vosper (1866 -1942) who painted an old lady Sian Owen in a stove pipe hat and Welsh costume attending the chapel. A copy of the painting hangs in the chapel. The original hangs in the Lady Lever Art Gallery, Liverpool.

3 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 7 plus travel cot.1 double en suite, (corner shower cubicle, toilet and washbasin) 1 double and 1 'Bunk' style with double bed and single bed on top. All on 1st floor.

Bathroom with wash basin and toilet, bath with shower over on 1st floor.

Open Plan Kitchen/Dining/Sitting Room fully fitted, well appointed kitchen area with split level electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, small oak table with wooden wall benches 2 stools, high chair. Dining/Sitting area with large oak dining table seating 6, wide inglenook with wood burner, 2 large three seater sofas, Sky tv, cd/radio.

Conservatory with specially designed oak frame, multi-fuel stove, slate floors, 'L' shaped sofa, oak dining table with 8 chairs, large telescope for star gazing flatscreen tv with Sky, panoramic views of bay and mountains.

Cloakroom on ground floor with wash basin and toilet.

Fuel welcome pack of logs, electric under floor heating and radiators inclusive May - September, £60 per week outside these dates.

Grounds fully enclosed gravelled area, lawn barbeque and garden furniture.

Smoking outside only please.

Ample Parking N.B. the lane from the main road to the cottage is narrow and steep in parts.

An incredible place! Fabulous setting and cottage beautifully converted. We've had a great week. Really appreciated all the 'extra' touches such as ratios and hot water bottles - you have thought of everything.

The house exceeded our expectations. Fabulous setting home from home. Beautiful views and Harlech beach is fabulous. We went on the train and really enjoyed it. We had a great time lots of walking drining and eating we will definately come back.
