A medieval 13thC gated bridge, it is unique to Britain for its' state of preservation and is the sole remaining such bridge of three in Europe. A lively town - it is certainly worth visiting and just 17 miles from The Carriage House.

(below) The Sugar Loaf Vineyard (Abergavenny) makes a pleasant day trip beneath the spectacular Sugarloaf mountain. They have a self-guided vineyard trail, a shop to purchase their wines and cafe.

(below) Hay on Wye is only 25 miles from The Carriage House. Famous for its' annual book festival it also boasts a regular market on Thursdays throughout the year. (below) St Marys' Chapel is one of the smallest in Wales found in the hamlet of Capel y Ffin. Driving from Abergavenny across the Black Mountains to Hay on Wye you can 'spot' the chapel just off the road.
