  • Newtown a thriving traditional market town set on the banks of the river Severn has a range of amenities including theatres, galleries, excellent shops,supermarkets, banks, post office, library with internet access, chemist, doctors and filling station.
Welsh Marches
  • This area is Wales' best kept secret - timeless border country home to low hills and lakes, waterfalls and rivers, stretching from the Berwyn mountains in the north, to the Brecon Beacons in the south with the Elan valley and Radnor forest in the centre.
Llyn Mawr Nature Reserve - A walk on the wild side Dogs welcome
  • There is the fabulous circular walk (3.5m) at Llyn Mawr Nature Reserve past a trio of lakes, Llyn Mawr, Lyn-y-Tarw and Llyn Du - a place of standing stones, tall skies, boggy hollows and watery margins which in the summer come alive with flowers and water voles, buzzards and skylarks, a real walk on the wildside!
Llanfair Steam Railway near holiday home close to Newtown
  • Powis and Montgomery historic castles and the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway - a 16 mile round trip by narrow gauge steam train though beautiful countryside - are all only a short drive away and a great holiday treat for guests staying in these Mid Wales converted barns.
Gregynog Hall, Powis Castle, Montgomery Caste
  • Gregynog Hall is just a few miles away and is reached via driving through beautiful countryside and past some striking sculpture. Enjoy good food at the new café and do visit the shop selling Welsh produce and crafts.
Lake Vyrnwy
  • Lake Vyrnwy is a pleasant drive away with its walking routes that weave in and out of the forests and take you along side the lake. Whether you are a hardened hill walker or a casual ambler, there are 4 main trails to choose from. Great to explore on foot or on your bike, you`ll not go away without fond memories.
Llanidloes
  • Llanidloes is a favorite destination of visitors to this area with its only surviving timber framed market hall in Wales in the centre of town, where locals meet to take shelter or pass the time of day. Do visit the Welsh Quilt Centre.
River Severn Walk
  • The walk to the source of the River Severn starts near here, a seven mile round trip with panoramic views and paths which wind in and out of the trees alongside the river. Dogs welcome.

2 Bedrooms sleeping a maximum of 4 plus cot on request. 1 double and 1 twin both on 1st floor, with fantastic far reaching views towards the Kerry Ridgeway.

Kitchen south facing sunny kitchen with spectacular views, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, dining table seating 6.

Utility Room with fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and Belfast sink.

Cloakroom with washbasin and toilet.

Sitting Room with extensive far reaching views and French doors leading onto the sun terrace. Oak floors, exposed beams, 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs. Flat screen tv/dvd with Sky, cd/radio.

Fuel oil central heating inclusive May - September, £20 per week outside these dates.
