Why we recommend The Townhouse at Green Edge...

A wonderful Georgian townhouse in the prettiest town in North Wales - the stylish shops, galleries and restaurants of Beaumaris are all within a short stroll.

About The Townhouse at Green Edge
Immerse yourself in Beaumaris life in this beautiful Georgian townhouse. A great base for family and friends to explore Anglesey and enjoy the enviable location in the heart of the town.

  • Once a traditional seafront townhouse, this quality holiday house overlooks the Menai Strait and The Green in the heart of Beaumaris.
  • Elegantly restored (the original servants bells, fireplaces and beautiful staircase remain) the 1st floor sitting room with period furnishings is light and airy. The views from the large period windows set the coastal scene. Enjoy the fine marine and Snowdonia mountain views from the large period windows.
  • Beautiful formal dining room and well-equipped kitchen which opens out onto a private and peaceful sunny courtyard - a real sun trap and ideal for al fresco dining.
  • The south facing latticed veranda at the front has a small paved terrace - enjoy breakfast alfresco or watch the yachts from the adjacent Royal Anglesey Yacht Club racing on the Menai Strait.
  • Beaumaris is the jewel in the Angelsey’s crown - discover the inspiring community of galleries and tempting places to dine or simply enjoy browsing in the boutique shops.
  • Whatever the occasion, The Townhouse Beaumaris ensures a memorable stay!
About The Area
Beaumaris
  • Set on the edge of glorious Menai Strait, this pretty town's imposing high street is lined with Georgian town houses, elegant shops and galleries which include 2 Janet Bell shops for lovely original art work, ceramics and jewellery, 2 Cole &Co shops for clothes and gifts and many others to explore and enjoy. At the end of the  High Street is the romantic ruined Beaumaris Castle, a World Heritage Site.
  • Take an evening stroll and browse shop windows or walk along the elegant Victorian pier and enjoy spectacular views across Menai Strait to the mainland and the mountains of Snowdonia beyond.
  • Three boats leave from Beaumaris Pier. Fishing trips for all abilities and pleasure cruises along the scenic Menai Strait to Puffin Island bird

Places to eat

  • Ye Olde Bull's Head Inn in the heart of town has been long established as one of Anglesey's best with its elegant brasserie and loft restaurant (evenings only) the Old Butcher's Shop on the high street is also highly recommended.
  • Close to the apartment is Central Bakery - lovely fresh artisan breads and delicious cakes - and there is a great variety of cafes and tea rooms to choose from including  a superb ice cream parlour, an excellent fish & chip café/takeaway and a  small Italian restaurant above a butcher's shop owned by a local farmer who supplies his own organic meat and fresh vegetables.
  • 5 miles away at Menai Bridge and located right on the edge of the Strait is Dylan's Restaurant and Marram Grass, some 15 miles away at Newborough, has been making waves in the national press and is included in The Good Food Guide. Don't be put off by the appearance of what is basically a tin roofed shack  - the food is superb!

Why you love The Townhouse at Green Edge
Beautiful beaches, amazing castle, even better moat. Thanks for having us. Thanks for letting us stay in your lovely home. Loved the sunset over the mountains. We've had a lovely weekend. Thank you so much for letting us stay - beautiful place!
Taj, Sam, Rebecca
Our 4th stay at No5 Green Edge has been everything we hoped for. From the moment we stepped through the front door we were relaxed and having a wonderful holiday. We will be back - its heaven on earth. Many thanks indeed.
Helen & Ed Jones & family
Not the holiday we were expecting! Instead of diving indoors & warming ourseleves by the fire, we lolled about in the courtyard soaking up the sun. Trust Anglesey to keep us on our toes!! Lovely views day & night - the Strait was like a mill pond during our visit so reflections of lights from the maninland kept our interest. Who needs TV with these views. Wonderful, relaxing break. Thank you
Pete & Sally Williams
Our second visit this year, 6th so far. That says it all. Yes, we had weather! But 5 Green Edge caters for all kinds of weather - and does it in style. We love your house and we are now going home to plan our next visit. Thank you.
The Jones clan Wilmslow

Rachel Evans
Spent a lovely few days great November weather. Tried the Spa at Tre-Ysgawen Hall, walked from Moelfre and Abergwyngregyn. Murphy and Dilly had a great time.
Olivia, Paddy, Jane & Megan
We could not believe the size of this wonderful house. We have had a wonderful holiday. The weather has been grat. Lovely location, beautiful views. Nice relaxing location. Thank you.
The Dunne family
Thank you for sharing your lovely characterful house. A week of extreme weather - snow, sleet and high (very high) winds. You have obviously spent a lot of time, thought and hard work into furnishing and decorating this home, much appreciated.Only two of us plus dogs - we would like to return one day with extended family - this is so obviously a family home - we would like a place like this our selves. Mountains, sea and shops in walking distance. What more could we ask for? Thanks!

Thank you very much for the week - long stay. The house is beautiful and the views were spectacular. We enjoyed exploring Beaumaris and especially liked the castle. We had a wonderful Christmas!
The Patterson family
Another fabulous holiday - great weather, good sailing, walking & exploring. The house worked wonderfully for us and of course, the views from the sitting room are the best in Beaumaris! Thanks from all the facilities that served us well yet again.
